PLEASE STAND BY

No I am not ‘going Galt in my own way’. I am waiting for a few things to be sorted out, and then I will make the special announcement I have been talking about on the podcasts.

In fact I can think of little else.

This has been a month of stops and starts, and hurry up and wait. I don’t do that well. Three weeks ago, I planned to make a special announcement and begin a new project; a new wrinkle for the Bob Davis Podcasts. The cool thing about podcasting, so far, is I can run the whole ship from the right here in the bunker and not have to depend on anyone else. Most people work in or own businesses which depend on other people. As my friend recently said, “Now you find out what it’s like to depend on everyone else for a change”.

As much as I complain about the news business and the way stories get played — for example an entire afternoon spent discussing the finer points of the Bowe Bergdahl case, or the fact that every time a plane crashes, the media wants to know ‘what happened’. Well, the plane crashed. We’ll have to hurry up and wait to find out why — As much as I complain about that kind of stuff I am still very much connected to what is going on everyday, and have a lot to say.

I don’t want to do another podcast until I can make the special announcement I have planned to for three weeks. I feel confident predicting the announcement will be the subject of the very next podcast, right here at the Bob Davis Podcasts. I could make the announcement now, but I want to wait until every little piece is in place.

Once the I make the announcement, you’ll understand why I have been on pins and needles. You’ll also be part of the adventure over the next few months and into next year.

I feel as though I am about to come ’round The Cape of Good Hope or something and its driving me nuts! This ‘thing’ represents a significant investment for the Bob Davis Podcasts. It will add capabilities. It is just about the craziest thing I’ve done in a long time (and I’ve done some crazy things in my life.)  I am really excited about how it might change and enhance the podcasts going forward.

Like coming around The Cape, once I make the announcement, we will sail ahead pell mell with the plan.

As far as ‘going Galt’ is concerned,  there is a lot to talk about, and a lot to be done and I don’t believe in running away from a good story.

In fact, as you’ll hear, this is more like running toward a good story.
