Interesting People?

Secondly as a nomad Podcaster people I meet always say, “Boy you must interview some really interesting people”.

Certainly there are interesting people out here.

Until…

But generally speaking I find most people don’t have much to say when you stick a microphone in their face.

Interviews…Meh

Even more I am not big on interviews.

The Thing In Podcasting

Yes, interviews seems to be ‘the thing’ in Podcasting.

However I don’t do what everyone else does.

I Do Find People To Interview

Every now and then I run across people to interview, though.

For example two young spring breakers in Panama City Beach, Florida.

And a truly engaging woman who owns a coffee shop in Madison, Florida.

As a result Springbreak-Part2-The-Interviews-Bob Davis Podcast 986 is a unique podcast for me.

Different Approaches To Life

Most importantly these interviews illustrate different approaches to life at different times in life.

Something Real

In short I’m looking for something real out here.

No Small Talk

I don’t want to engage in small talk, especially when it comes to interviews.

Long Term Effects Of The Pandemic

In the same vein I ask how today’s younger people feel the Pandemic might effect their lives in the future.

Coffee House

And I wonder how an internationally traveled and accomplished woman decides to run a great coffee house in a small town in the Florida Panhandle in addition to other demanding interests.

I think the answer is truly enlightening.

Unique Times

Finally we are living in unique times.

Huge Opportunities

While there are challenges there are also huge opportunities if we have the right mindset.

Florida!

In conclusion I’ve always thought Florida is one of the best examples of this reality.

The Sunshine State

To sum up I’ve been coming down to the Sunshine State since I was a kid.

Never Ceases To Surprise

The People of Florida and those who come here here to change their lives, never cease to surprise me.

Podcasting Is Growing Up

I am joined by an old friend on this podcast.

‘Jack’ is an instructor at a swanky eastern university. He teaches broadcasting. Because so many more people are listening to podcasts these days, I wonder why he still teaches young adults radio.

Rather than take the bait, Jack tells us about teaching his kids broadcasting and podcasting. Above all broadcasters in general have taken a sudden and intense interest in podcasting.

Furthermore when an industry on the ropes like broadcast starts taking a serious look at a disruptor there’s only one conclusion. We’re growing up, podcasters.
