Trump Kills Iran Deal-Now What?-Foreign Affairs Update-Podcast 721

President Trump decertified the JCPOA or ‘Iran Deal’ of 2015, on Friday May 11th. Trump has kicked off a firestorm of coverage which has not fully explained what’s going on. Again. Time to find out about the details of the Iran Deal in Trump Kills Iran Deal-Now What?-Foreign Affairs Update-Podcast 721.

Stormy Daniels Sells Newspapers

Moreover coverage of international relations doesn’t usually generate a lot of views, likes or shares. Hence one of the main reasons American media spends a lot of time on salacious stories.

Foreign Policy Isn’t A Campaign Slogan

Furthermore, voters don’t think about these things in election years. Slogans and shouted one liners on the campaign trail get lots of applause from true believers. Build The Wall. Tear Up The Iran Deal. Make America Great Again.

Politicians Make Big Mistakes

Truth is our leaders can make serious mistakes in this arena. Consequently missteps and screw ups can effect all of us for a very long time. Seems like presidents get a lot of support from congress and the people as they blunder about. Therefore, some background some of these mistakes in Time to find out about the details of the Iran Deal in Trump Kills Iran Deal-Now What?-Foreign Affairs Update-Podcast 721.

It’s Not A Treaty

The so called Iran Deal is not even an Executive Agreement, as has been reported. Most noteworthy it is within the president’s discretion to do anything he wants with this agreement. Did Trump ‘kill’ the deal? Is it a mistake? Was Iran violating the terms of the JCPOA?

Constitutional Authority

In addition was it constitutional for President Obama to enter into a political commitment? Did the House endorse elements of the deal? Did the Senate debate the agreement? Find out in Time to find out about the details of the Iran Deal in Trump Kills Iran Deal-Now What?-Foreign Affairs Update-Podcast 721.

Whatever Trump Does Is A Mistake, right?

In conclusion one of the problems with this president is the media’s habit of reacting to anything he does as a mistake. Without defending the president, maybe the specifics should be reported and judgments left to the American people.

Most of all, that’s what I do in this podcast. Find more podcasts on the Iran subject from the campaign trail in 2016, and through the years here.

Flight Dreams And Inspiration At EAA OSH17-Podcast 651

Where do you draw your inspiration? Where do your dreams come from? What pushes you to keep going. These days, none of us have an easy task. Some days you’re just grinding it out. We’re talking about inspiration in Flight Dreams And Inspiration At EAA OSH17-Podcast 651.

You Don’t Have To Be A Pilot

Let me say it. I am not a pilot. My interest in this amazing event at Osh Kosh’s Wittman field started with Alpha Systems, a client and supporter of the Bob Davis Podcasts. One of my passions is history. History lives everywhere you look here at OSH17.

The Essence Of What Makes A Great American Event

Listeners and subscribers wonder whether they should bring their kids to this event. What’s it like? Think of the AirVenture show like a well run state fair, where everyone is focused on one idea. For me, this is the essence of what makes a great American Event. In Flight Dreams And Inspiration At EAA OSH17-Podcast 651.

A Dream That Inspires

Flying is like a dream. Clearly it’s a dream for the people who fly. It’s also a dream for those who come to these shows. We all wonder, “What’s it like up there?”. For me though, it’s history that inspires. Whether it is homebuilders, ultra-lights, warbirds, and especially the vintage planes that made so much history in the United States in the 1920’s and 1930’s before World War II.

You hear a lot of talk these days about the political process. What ‘they’re’ doing in the state capitol, or Washington DC. Lots of head shaking and concern.

One of the things that inspires me about this event is the evidence of pilots, engineers and dreamers who focused on their passion. People who made huge contributions to the world through flight. In Flight Dreams And Inspiration At EAA OSH17-Podcast 651.

Don’t Let It Bring You Down

Yes things are changing. Fast. You can see each generation’s contributions flying over your head, parked on the field, or in the exhibition hangers. Some are worried about their personal future. Others have concern about the future of the country. When you come here you realize it’s always been that way and yet, inspired people still made great contributions.

My Airstrip In The Desert

Podcasting is my air strip in the desert. Mobile Podcast Command is my old plane. When you do something that is so new it can be difficult to get businesspeople to understand. Sometimes you wonder why you do it at all. Then you come to an event like this. In Flight Dreams And Inspiration At EAA OSH17-Podcast 651.

Podcast 465

A Jeb Bush Event. Live from Sumter, South Carolina The Bob Davis Podcasts joins the Bush campaign for a Jeb Bush Event featuring Senator Lindsay Graham and Governor Bush. Originally planned for a local diner, the campaign had to move the event to the University of South Carolina, which was a shame since the potato soup at Baker’s Sweets in Sumter is amazing. Another feature of this podcast is to set the record straight regarding Jason Lewis’ appearance in Bob Davis Podcast 404, in which he stated he generally supported the President’s Iran deal with caveats. Lewis’ campaign for Congress in Minnesota’s Second District is apparently scaring his opponents so much, they’re excerpting liner notes about his foreign policy views, rather than actually listening to what he said in the podcast. There will be a new editorial note on podcast 404 which everyone can read, clarifying what Jason said. What is amazing about the current controversy surrounding Jason’s view that the country cannot have limited government at home and big government abroad is that when you’re on the campaign trail you hear republican candidates walking right up to the line advocating another war, and apparently Republicans love it. Maybe the 2nd District’s Republican candidate for congress is correct to question this impulse among all the GOP candidates? (You’ll hear it in this podcast too.) How can talk show hosts and commentators compare the current crop of bellicose campaigners with Ronald Reagan who negotiated, and kept the United States out of major military commitments and war for 8 years. Thus, a local congressional district issue dovetails beautifully with what a candidate says on the hustings in South Carolina. In any case, the Reagan era is over and is not coming back. The challenges of our current time are multi-polar, not bi-polar. Even the economic challenges are different. All these challenges will require new and different solutions that can only come from people who are able to consider opinions that might be unorthodox. Also in this podcast, a flavor of night life in Charleston, and some good bluegrass music. Sponsored by Ryan Plumbing and Heating of Saint Paul and Hydrus.
