Vibrating At A Higher Frequency With Yoga-Always A Student-Podcast 704

I’ve been practicing yoga for almost twenty years and so have experienced a few of the promises of yoga. These days I’ve noticed much stronger effects. We’ll talk about it in Vibrating At A Higher Frequency With Yoga-Always A Student-Podcast 704.

How Yoga Effects Chakras

Most noteworthy is the fact that I have never been one to believe or study chakras. I practiced yoga because it calmed me down and made me feel good.

After twenty years it’s clear yoga is doing much more than that.

Don’t Care About Petty and Nasty Political Fights

After years spent in the radio industry and a talk show host focused on politics I find it almost impossible to engage in what I perceive as petty and nasty fights about personalities.

How Yoga Changes A Student’s Vibration

One of the promises of yoga is that after a time a practitioner’s vibration changes. We operate at a higher octave. In Vibrating At A Higher Frequency With Yoga-Always A Student-Podcast 704 I’ll share some of my experiences on the mat leading to a higher vibration and how that has effected my life.

Higher Anxiety Levels In Society

Especially relevant is the trigger for this podcast. More Americans report increasing anxiety levels about the future. We often feel like some terrible thing is one step away from happening. Analysts blame our mobile devices and twenty four hour cable television news.

Don’t despair. It’s possible to disconnect and stay aware of what is happening in the world. What’s more, practicing yoga takes away the desire to be connected, so you can stay on top the latest developments without losing it. It’s a good thing.

Yoga Every Damn Day

Daily practice. Chakra tuning. Doing 108 sun salutes on New Year’s Day. Posture clinics. Yoga every damn day has given me greater empathy, allows me to tune into the moods of other people and slows things down enough for me to understand what’s going on. For a type A, intense person, that is a a huge change.

Oh I still have an interest in analysis and history, news events and dare I say it, politics. However, my approach and how I talk about those subjects has changed. For the better.

Florida Christmas. We’re in a ‘News Lock’. This happens in between major events, when the media machine keeps churning away on the same topics, even though everyone has moved on. And while The Bob Davis Podcasts continues to keep an eye on world and national events, the great thing about podcasting is, there’s no point in joining the crowd, repetitively pounding away on the same nonsense, and saying nothing new. We’re getting close enough to Christmas, 2014 to say its the holiday season. The trials and tribulations. The expectations. The disappointments. And, the good things too. (Editor’s note: One of the things that comes up this time of year for me is the road trips my family used to take to Florida every other year, to spend Christmas there with my grandparents. It was oddly free of the pressures and intensity of ‘The Season of Peace’. I think its because we were on an adventure, and the main topic of conversation was where to stay when we got to Valdosta.) Take a break from the ‘News Lock’ and reminisce about your own family’s Christmas road trips. From the used cars my father insisted on buying, including the 63 Chevy, 66 Buick ‘Vista’ wagon, the 64 Elektra and the 68 Elektra, a lifetime exposure to secondhand smoke, the luxury of the Howard Johnson’s, versus the TravelAll (Dad’s favorite, cause it was cheap!), Uncle Roy in Jacksonville, the Orange Groves and finally…finally, the Ocean. Plus, discount shopping with my Grandfather, spilling Raisinets on Grandma’s expensive couch, Christmas lights in the humid night air, walks down the beach, and Jelly Fish. Lots of Jelly Fish. And the places we visited on those trips. Kennesaw Mountain (Editor’s Note: Which I thought was in Kentucky, but in fact it is in Georgia), Caverns, Saint Augustine and the Mansions of South Florida. In today’s high speed culture, most people fly if they go anywhere, and its too bad because there is much to be learned on a road trip. This podcast is just a kick. My good friend Jeannie makes her intuitive predictions for 2010. Since reposting on our new wordpress site, I can tell you this is a kick to listen to. Some of her predictions were surprisingly accurate. Bob talks with intuitive Jeannie Blaha about her perceptions of what will happen in the months leading up to, and after, December 22nd, 2012.
