Certainly what Americans are experiencing right now is no picnic.

Nomads are no exception.

Options

But we do have some options folks back home may not have.

Mobile

Importantly we’re mobile.

Free Camping

Even more we camp for free.

Fuel Prices Slowing My Roll

On the other hand the high cost of fuel has certainly slowed my roll.

And everyone else out here in the land of the nomad.

Stress Anyone?

Meanwhile a majority of Americans say they are under a great deal of stress right now.

A Mix Of Bad News

To clarify we’ve had a pandemic. Inflation has already made food, fuel and rent more expensive. And throw the Ukraine situation into the mix.

That’s a lot of stress.

But as a the result of hitting the road stress is a little easier for me to manage right now.

What’s Next?

Most importantly what happens next?

Financial Stress

Firstly our financial system is under a lot of stress

Stagflation

Stagflation is a concern.

Inflation

Inflation is ravaging all of us.

Deflation

On the other hand the cure for high prices may eventually be high prices.

No To Higher Prices

Even more I don’t think we can accept prices this high and eventually we will reject them.

Recession Ahead

That is to say eventually high prices effect demand to the point where an economic recession develops.

Certainly some economists think we’re nearing that point.

Weird Tension In The World

Above all with the situation in the Ukraine and Eastern Europe getting more tense by the day I feel like we have to take certain steps to protect ourselves. Details in World-Gone-Crazy-Bob Davis Podcast 1044.

Not Easy

Finally these aren’t easy times.

For example our time lines are different.

That is to say we have more time to process these things.

In the same vein I have talked to many nomads who feel they were called to be out here at this time.

Certainly they don’t always know why.

Just that they are here.

Uncertainty

Whether it is the Ukraine, The Pandemic, Inflation or economic uncertainty it impacts nomads differently.

Wonder and Worry

In short when I look up into the stars late at night by the fire I too wonder and worry about the future.

No Homework

On the other hand with so many cycles bisecting the present time I am not sure what can be ‘done’ about it.

And I refrain from doing homework for people.

No Telling You What To Think

Or telling them what to think.

Winds Of Change Blowing Hard

In conclusion the winds of change have been blowing pretty hard for the last three years or more.

Impacts

In addition even nomads may see impacts in terms of rigs and fuel.

Secondly what’s the reason for all this ‘fake engagement’ on the social media giant.

Discord and Disagreement

For example we should be now be aware Facebook encourages discord and disagreement.

Facebook Is The Wellspring Of Discord

Even more Facebook might be the chief cause for the personal and political divide in the US these days.

Dangerous and Destructive

To clarify, yes I’m saying FB is the most dangerous and destructive force in our society.

Incendiary and Divisive Comments…From Bots…Or Worse

In the course of promoting what I do I have seen an increase in the number of clearly fake people making incendiary and divisive comments.

Negative Reinforcement Always Wins

In the same vein tech writers long ago exposed FB algorithms designed to reward discord and division. Negative reinforcement creates a stronger bond and more engagement than positive reinforcement.

Propaganda

Even more propaganda on social media platforms has always been suspect.

Usual Suspects

For example the Russians. What about the Chinese? Above all political campaigns here in the United States.

Massive Manipulation Of Americans…And The World

Here’s my thing. In short I came the conclusion recently it all might just be FB itself manipulating users for its own purposes or worse, at someone or something’s behest.

Think Twice

Consequently we all might think twice before engaging in back and forth arguments on FB. In addition, we might think twice before commenting at all.

A NO COMMENT Movement

Certainly with so called engagement the core of FB’s existence, if we all stopped commenting what do you think would happen?
