Podcast 61

In Podcast 61, I share something personal in my life; Yoga. When you say the word ‘Yoga’, or tell people you practice Yoga, you get some strange reactions. Especially from people who consider themselves to be ‘conservative’. I talked to some of the most experienced Yoga teachers in the Twin Cities, to find out what they think. Is Yoga a religion? Is it a Martial Art? Is there a political component to Yoga? I’ve been practicing now, on and off, since 2001, and I still don’t want to save the whales. And, I am pleased to welcome a new sponsor for the Bob Davis Podcasts! Podcast 61 is sponsored by by Tara Baklund, author of ‘You-niversal Self-care’, available on line at www.youniversalselfcare.com. I sat down with Tara and her husband Jon to talk about sponsorship, and we ended up talking about Yoga. Tara contributed to this podcast as a teacher, as well.

Podcast 59

Is there ‘truth’ in the media? How do listeners, viewers and readers get ‘the truth’. What is ‘truth’? Why do YOU listen, watch and read? Where do I get my information and perspective. Bottom line; The reasons people SAY they watch, listen and read, may not be the ‘truth’. A companion to Podcast 58, I’ll tell you what I think people have to do to identify the bias in modern media. There’s also a bit of ‘train porn’ in another outside podcast, late at night, in the velvet smooth summer.

Podcast 27

Considering the circus the Nidal Hasan trial has become, now almost three years after the attack, it is interesting to hear views expressed in the direct aftermath of the Fort Hood ‘shootings’. Is the attack at Fort Hood the first act of domestic terrorism on US soil since September 11th, 2001? Could US Army Major Nidal Hasan be a victim of PTSD, even though he has not yet been deployed to a combat AO?
