Salsa Dance Experience-Bob Davis Podcast 819

On any given night these days in the Twin Cities you might walk into a bar and find it packed. Salsa Dancing is back in a big way at the Moxy Hotel in Uptown Minneapolis. We’ll investigate in Salsa Dance Experience-Bob Davis Podcast 819.

Salsa Tells The Story

Full disclosure. I don’t dance. I don’t know anything about Salsa. So I brought my recorder and microphones. In this podcast I let the dancers, instructors and Salsa experts tell the story.

International Experience

Especially relevant is the idea that this is an international experience. All kinds of people from all over the world can be found in Salsa.

Once Again Pundits, Prognosticators and Politicians Are Wrong

In addition, pundits, prognosticators and politicians are fond of telling us we just can’t get along. If Salsa proves anything it shows people from different walks of life can have fun together and develop lifelong friendships.

History and Culture

More importantly learning Salsa Dancing deepens the experience. There is a history and culture to it. People who Salsa regularly learn the culture with the steps.

Light And Energy

Finally not only is it a fun and social experience, there’s a huge amount of light and energy to the room.

Salsa On The Upswing

In conclusion Salsa and so called partner dancing is cyclical. Its Cuban history, additions from Latin America and the United States over the years are some of the reasons it’s on the upswing in Minneapolis and Saint Paul.

Really glad I was invited to the Salsa experience, Thursday night in Uptown.
