Why? Market analysts say the bull market has entered the ‘melt up’ phase. Melt Up is the final phase before the crash when everyone gets sucked in. Most noteworthy the effects of the Melt-Up aren’t just with stock traders and investors. Most of all, this phase of the bull market powerfully effects how we think about society and politics even if we don’t have money in the markets.

In addition, thought leaders serve the delusion. As a result I wonder whether they are cynics or just deluded themselves. Therefore I wonder, is it true Trump has fixed the economy? The economy is booming? Trump is a political genius?  A transformational political figure?

Conspiracy Theories Distract

In addition, the conspiracy theories are my favorites. The administration colluded with the Russians!  ‘Conservatives’ have finally ‘won’ the age old conservative-liberal battle. Donald J. Trump is an idiot and will be impeached or removed through the 25th amendment! Hillary Clinton is a reptile alien (Wait! That’s true!). Chaos Is The Order of The Day

Truth is, the new tell-all book about the White House by writer Michael Wolfe is just the latest in a string of chaotic developments. Meanwhile the US Dollar is worth of fraction of what it was in the 1960’s while debt has exploded. Did you know that asset classes account for most of the growth in compensation over the last few years? The middle class has survived on lower pay and transfer payments.

Sit On A Couch, Write a Book

We’re reading stories about former officials written by a reporter who’s research appears to have been he sat on a couch in a white house hallway during the transition. We’re arguing about whether the president is acting like an eight year old. Meanwhile challenges to the economy and America’s place in the world, peace and war are on the horizon.

It Will Get Worse Before It Gets Better

These are the kinds of issues that serve the delusion. History is full of people who have fallen victim to delusion and mania. In conclusion, our only defense is to use reason and prepare for that unpleasant moment when the scales fall from everyone’s eyes.
