Grand-Canyon-Maroon-Bob Davis Podcast 1117

Grand Canyon Maroon

In Grand-Canyon-Maroon-Bob Davis Podcast 1117 above all we’ll talk about letting go. That is to say sometimes you are forced to just go with the flow.

Goal Driven

Basically we live in a goal driven society.

Moving From Task To Task

Under those circumstances we move from task to task.

Even more we do so without question.

Sudden Need For Patience

So imagine the frustration when we’re confronted with a situation that requires patience.

Letting Go

Or further completely letting go.

Transform and Enlighten

When we do this all of the sudden we become open to experiences that can transform and enlighten.

Points On An Agenda

These days for many travel is a series of points on an agenda.

Once you complete one task you move to the next.

And so on.

Throw The Agenda Away

On the other hand if you throw the agenda away the flow brings sublime experiences.

Control

In fact I have to be shown this again and again by forces beyond my control.

Breakdown At Grand Canyon

And so it is in the Grand Canyon…

When you have a breakdown that requires patience to fix.

Full details in Grand-Canyon-Maroon-Bob Davis Podcast 1117.

Goal Driven

Altogether I am a goal driven…

Intensity

With an intensity to match.

Pause Challenge

So when confronted with a situation that requires me to pause…

It’s a challenge..

Grand Canyon Maroon

All in all I am grateful because I am marooned in the most beautiful place.

The Grand Canyon.

Time

Furthermore I have had ample time to take in as much as I want in this amazing place.

Nomads

Finally we nomads put our vehicles under tremendous stress.

Stress

We never seem to notice we put ourselves under stress in addition.

Stop

Every now and then the Universe says stop.

Certainly we may not want to stop.

However when we do…

Experience

An amazing experience often awaits.

Life Lessons

It’s analogous to life too.

For example how many times do we miss details or experiences because we’re ‘just too busy’.

Taught By Travel

In short another lesson travel teaches.

Sharecropper-Nation-Bob Davis Podcast-1116

Sharecropper Nation

Altogether I think it’s a sharecropper nation these days. Details in Sharecropper-Nation-Bob Davis Podcast-1116.

Oklahoma

Certainly my drive through the Oklahoma Panhandle made a big impression on me last month.

Social Media

But a recent social media exchange accentuated my experience.

To rephrase I am impatient with argumentative comments on social media on some of my posts.

Pressure Back Home

On the other hand I forget the pressure the average person ‘back home’ is under.

Bob Davis Podcasts Economic Series Podcasts

To review I’ve done a number of podcasts about the US and world economic situation.

Click here for the most recent podcast in the economic series.

Trouble Back Home

However I have not done an installment the pressure those back home have to deal with.

Not Keeping Up

For one thing the average income hardly keeps up with average expenses.

Even more children and student loans are expensive…

…And you begin to understand there isn’t money left over each month.

Inflation

Furthermore the consumer class has been most exposed to inflation.

Higher Interest Rates

At length efforts to address inflation by central banks have resulted in higher interest rates.

Gone To The Credit Cards…Beer…Weed

In addition both small businesses and the consumer class are forced to use credit cards at very high interest rates.

Sharecroppers

Firstly in Sharecropper-Nation-Bob Davis Podcast-1116 I give a history of sharecropping.

Sharecropper Nation

Secondly I compare today’s working consumer to the famed sharecropper movement west in the 1930’s.

Second Guessing

Therefore until now I worried about my decision to travel.

Nomads Are Insulated

To sum up to a certain degree our lives as nomads are more insulated from the pressures of every day life.

Even With Drawbacks

Even though my existence has a nomad has it’s drawbacks.

Bliss

In conclusion I am more free to experience bliss.

Freedom

And I have to remember sometimes not everyone back home has that luxury.

On-The-Road-With-Bob-Bob Davis Podcast 1115

On-The-Road-With-Bob-Bob Davis Podcast 1115

On the road with Bob is an answer to a question. Above all it’s the most asked question to me. What’s it like on the road.

Crazy

Even more listeners and subscribers have the impression nomad life is nothing but crazy situations and people.

By all means listen to this podcast as well as this one to learn more.

Listeners Join

At length I thought it would be a good idea to have listeners join as I rolled through Arkansas.

Where Are We Going

Especially since I really didn’t know exactly where I was heading.

Thinking And Processing While Driving

Without reservation the best thing about the zen of being on the road is being able to think.

And process visits with friends and family.

Or even life events.

Not Crazy

In fact life out here is very seldom ‘crazy’.

Equally notable is the actual absence of crazy people and crazy situations.

Accordingly one usually gets into those situations through mistakes …

Or overstepping social boundaries.

Navigation

With this in mind navigation is important.

That is to say I don’t use Google or Map features on my phone.

Ancients Called It A Map

Rather I navigate on the fly with maps.

Mistakes

From time to time mistakes are made.

Happy Accidents

But experience has taught me sometimes mistakes get you right back on track.

Nomad Requirements

Therefore if you can stand being alone…

Even while dispersed camping in a deserted national forest.

Then you’re probably a good candidate for this life.

Back On The Road

In the meantime I can’t say enough how good it feels to be back on the road again.

Behind The Windshield

With this intention the vibration behind the windshield can be quite high.

Quirks Yes

On the other hand I have my quirks.

Stopping at fast food outlets to charge my power station

Or getting off course…

Are two.

All things considered if you get off course once in awhile it’s no big deal.

Advice

In addition this podcast also carries some good examples of what passes for ‘advice’ when you travel with me.

From country music to all terrain tires, diet and more.
