Changing Nomad Travel Plans Again

Firstly you might want to save changing nomad travel plans again to listen in the dark night of winter. You’ll hear why in Changing-Nomad-Travel-Plans-Again-Bob Davis Podcast 1099.

Live From The Lake Shore

Secondly from the shore of one of those famous fishing lakes in Western Wisconsin comes the sounds of early spring up here.

No Bugs Yet

That is to say the bugs really haven’t gotten started yet.

Mirror Smooth Lake

And between early spring thunderstorms there’s the full moon and mist on a mirror smooth lake.

Audio Rules This World

Certainly audio captures this experience in a way video could not.

Self Realization

Furthermore since I have moved down to the lake shore I have realized something.

Nothing Like A Campfire

That is to say I am surprised how much better I feel with a campfire than inside even a lux North woods cabin.

Or the confined of a well used work shed.

Better Outside Than In

In fact I feel better these days outside and camping than I do inside.

Still Spring Night

On the other hand there is the difference between the still spring night in the upper Midwest…

And the steady breeze of the West.

Travel Plans

Finally we’ll get to travel plans.

Headed North East From Here

Most importantly heading East to pick up a power station from the Campulance Man in New York State.

And to see friends in New Hampshire.

Then heading to the coast for a wedding.

Back To Arizona

In addition I’ll discuss plans for returning to the American South West.

Back Roads Again

After that I’ll return to my usual theme of the back roads experience.

No Plan Is A Plan

To sum up I guess no plan is a plan.

Grateful Too

Most importantly I find myself very grateful for the opportunity to get back outside to a fire.

With unlimited firewood and black coffee.

Moreover steak and eggs or eggs and bacon in a iron skillet is pretty hard to beat.

Eleven Hundred Podcasts

In conclusion I can’t believe I am closing in on eleven hundred podcasts.

Travel and Nomad Experience

Many now focused on travel and the nomad experience.

Nomad-Eclipse-Rest-Refit-Bob Davis Podcast 1095

Nomad Eclipse Rest Refit

Firstly it’s Nomad Eclipse Rest and Refit season in Western Wisconsin. Details in Nomad-Eclipse-Rest-Refit-Bob Davis Podcast 1095.

Saving A Buck

Secondly nomads never miss a chance to save a buck and take a break from the road.

Therefore that is what I am doing.

August Timeline

At least until mid August 2023.

Peeling An Onion

Above nomad travel is like peeling an onion.

Slower Travel

For example when I first started traveling I did not understand the practice of some nomads to get off the road in the spring for a while.

Then high fuel prices forced me to change my travel plans.

That is to say longer stays and shorter travel bursts.

New People and Community

The result was meeting new people and experiencing community.

Arizona To Wisconsin

Finally I drove north to Western Wisconsin from Arizona pretty quickly because of a death in the family. That is to say I left the desert sooner than I intended or expected.

Winter To Spring

However we nomads roll with the punches. Subsequently I am experiencing the winter to spring change again!

Eclipse

In addition it’s eclipse season.

Intense Feels

Which means some unusual celestial events and associated intense feels. If you’re looking for the link explaining this April’s Hybrid Eclipse, here it is.

Vintage Cabin

And I am staying at a vintage cabin soon to be moving to a lake front and back to my nightly fire.

Comforts

In conclusion it’s weird to feel weird about being comfortable!

Cool Greens

But looking forward to the cool greens and hot sun of the Midwestern Summer.

Mechanical Work

Also getting some needed work on Mobile Podcast Command. Some body work. Minor engine work. And a few other items that need to be taken care of..

Sometimes getting this kind of work done on the road can be a challenge, if not more expensive.

Campfire!

See you at the campfire!

Collective-Consciousness-Real-Or-Not-Bob Davis Podcast 1074

Is The Collective Consciousness Real Or Not?

Firstly do you think if something bad happens in the world we all feel it? Let’s talk about it in Collective-Consciousness-Real-Or-Not-Bob Davis Podcast 1074.

Secondly is the collective consciousness real?

Conscious Versus Unconscious

Most importantly Carl Jung discovered something he called the Collective UNCONSCIOUS in the early 20th century.

Controversial Discovery

In fact ever since then it’s been controversial.

One Hundred Year Debate

That is to say people have been debating the inner workings of the mind since Jung’s ground breaking discovery.

What Is The Collective Unconscious?

But what’s significant now are proliferating ideas about what the collective unconscious is and exactly what it does. Not to mention the idea that somehow it meant a collective CONSCIOUSNESS which it did not.

Carl Jung

Certainly there are a lot of videos and books about what Jung said.

Or what he ‘meant’.

And many incorrect or blatantly false quotes attributed to Jung.

However there’s no substitute for actually reading Jung.

Psychology Of The Unconscious

Especially his first major book The Psychology Of The Unconscious.

Let’s Say You’ve Been Isolated

Furthermore someone isolated for a few weeks somewhere is unlikely to be aware of anything happens outside of his surroundings despite the so called Collective Consciousness.

Psychic Internet

In short The Collective Unconscious was never a psychic Internet.

And never intended to be taken as such.

Making A Buck With Fairy Tales

Yet a lot of people are making a buck telling people the collective consciousness is in fact a human version of the Internet.

It’s simply a phrase for shared concepts.

Finally the reader might wonder why this is important.

Superstitions

Because of the so called collective we believe things that have never been proven.

In fact, superstitions.

Bad Decisions

That is to say our superstitions can lead us to make bad decisions individually and collectively.

Universal To Humanity

To sum up Carl Jung discovered what might be referred to as a universal human operating system.

Access Is Limited

However by definition we don’t have conscious access to it.

And I am not sure we want to.

Difficult Times

In conclusion we’re living through extraordinary and difficult times.

Thinking Clearly Required

Above all we need to be able to think clearly.
