Harmonic Convergence 2020 UFO Hunting

This summer the planets in our solar system line up in July and another ‘Planet Parade’ in August. As a result I joined friends to watch the heavens for extra terrestrial craft. Learn more in Convergence-2020-UFO-Hunting-Bob Davis Podcast 940.

Last Alignment Was In 1987

Back in 1987 during another unique planetary alignment organizers of the Harmonic Convergence meditated for world peace. In the same vein an all new Harmonic Convergence group gathered world wide in mid July to encourage ET’s to show themselves.

Made For Podcasting!

Consequently on the last day of the convergence I found myself in an empty field watching the skies. What an opportunity for a Podcasting! Hear the results and get more information in Convergence-2020-UFO-Hunting-Bob Davis Podcast 940.

No Negative Energy Here

On the other hand our little excursion provided a welcome relief from the negative energy in a world that seems about to break.

Not Thinking About ET’s

During the event my thoughts weren’t necessarily on ET’s.

So Much Fun…Like Boyhood Summer Shenanigans

To clarify, my thoughts were on how much fun I was having. It was like being thirteen years old again!

Origins Of CE-5 Events

Secondly in the podcast there are many references to Steven Greer and something called an CE-5 event. For more information about that, go here.

Crazy? Have You Looked At The News Lately?

Finally I know some of my audience will think this is crazy. Maybe so. However it can’t be any crazier than what’s going on in the news, or what we see on social media these days. Right?

Childlike Wonder

In short why not take a moment to stare at the sky in childlike wonder?

Great Energy For Debrief

I do have to say after our ‘hunt’, we all had a huge influx of energy. You can hear that during our final debrief after piling into Mobile Podcast Command.

A Break From Real Madness In Our World

In conclusion who knows if the ET’s are up there. Or, if they’re watching. But the opportunity to have some fun and learn something without the rancor and sour feelings associated with most things currently, was a godsend.

Dad-I-Bought-A-Buick-Bob Davis Podcast 923

Dad-I-Bought-A-Buick-Bob Davis Podcast 923

I don’t think I’m a car guy but now I bought a Buick! Certainly I love cars. Even more I know who to talk to about cars. Recently I bought a car my dad would have loved. Time to talk about my 1996 Buick Roadmaster with my friend Ken Madden in Dad-I-Bought-A-Buick-Bob Davis Podcast 923.

Escape From The Crazy With An Old School Cruiser

These days any distraction from the crazy is a good thing, right? That’s why when I had the opportunity to buy one of those ‘woody wagon‘ mid nineties cars, I jumped.

Buick With 72,000 Original Miles…In Dad-I-Bought-A-Buick-Bob Davis Podcast 923

Even more this one sat in a pole barn for ten years and has only about seventy thousand original miles.

Collector’s Item? I’d Like To Think So!

In a most noteworthy outcome I learned this car is not only a collectors item. This Buick is in high demand.

V8 Sedans and Wagons

Certainly this is as good a time as any to introduce podcast subscribers and listeners to a guy who’s driven these old V8 sedans and wagons for a long time.

Owned, Driven and Wrecked

From mid seventies Plymouth’s to Oldsmobile’s, Lincoln’s, Chevy’s and Buick’s, Ken Madden has owned, driven and wrecked more than his share of these big old American Beasts.

Powerful Memories

Especially relevant? These cars evoke powerful emotional memories for both of us. Find out why in Dad-I-Bought-A-Buick-Bob Davis Podcast 923. We need that nostalgia right about now.

Our Dad’s Loved To Buy Used Cars

Our dads preferred buying used cars. My dad would negotiate for a used Pontiac, Chevy or Buick until he’d pushed the sales guy over the edge. Ken’s dad did the same thing with Plymouth’s and Mercury’s.

Ride to Learn

Moreover the Maddens went cross-country with a trailer on the back of a Mercury wagon with 4 teenagers and a baby. My family barnstormed all over the Midwest and the South in a ’63 Chevy, 64′ Buick Electra Convertible. Later we hauled ass in the best of them all, a ’68 Buick Electra Convertible.

Clyde Barrow and The Chicago Gangsters And Their V8’s

Finally we devote a little time in this podcast to talking about the history of these big cars going back to the 1930’s. We also talk about their demise because of fuel standards in the 2000’s.

Mobile Podcast Command

I still have Mobile Podcast Command, a 2000 Ford Super Duty Diesel Ambulance. For sure keeping my 2007 Crown Victoria Police Car a little longer.

Now I’m That Guy Down The Block

In conclusion every neighborhood has one. The guy on the block with a bunch of old cars. That’s certainly the Maddens. Apparently I am now that guy too.

TruckStop-Washday-Four-States-24hours-Bob Davis Podcast 905

Seven States

First of all after hitting seven states in less than three weeks, it’s time for a break. Learn more about my latest mega trip in TruckStop-Washday-Four-States-24hours-Bob Davis Podcast 905.

Questions About Travel

These days I am asked a lot of questions about my travels.

Food and Laundry

Certainly the best questions are about simple stuff. What do you eat? Where do you do your laundry? Is Mobile Podcast Command an RV?

Truck Stops

Let’s start with two friends of the traveler. WalMart and Truck Stops.

Pilot!

When it comes to Truck Stops I have my favorites. Flying J, Pilots, Loves and T/A’s. Even more, some of the truck stops with names I can’t remember are great. Pilot is my favorite.

Wash Day At The Truck Stop

In TruckStop-Washday-Four-States-24hours-Bob Davis Podcast 905 we spend wash day at the Pilot south of San Antonio, Texas. The music’s classic rock, the People’s Court is on TV and there’s a full range of stuff to look at.

Travel In An America You Don’t See On TV

In addition in this podcast I make some observations about travel in an America saturated with political ‘news’ coverage.

Stressed Drivers and Travelers Need Calm

In contrast at most of the truck stops there’s no CNN, or Fox News or talk radio. There’s country, and classic rock, and a generally calm atmosphere for stressed truckers and travelers.

Back On The Road

Fill up. Get Something to eat. Take a shower. Do some laundry. Back on the road.

24 Hours of Driving and Back To Minnesota

Four states in one day in this podcast. From San Antonio to Dover, Oklahoma, and then onto Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, to finally end in Minnesota on an unusual sunny and warm day in February.

Unsung Heroes

Here’s to the unsung heroes on the road. The drivers, the people at the Pilot, the WalMart, the guy in Oklahoma who stopped to talk to me about my T-shirt.

No Academy Awards Here

Especially relevant is the fact that none of these people will probably ever win an academy award, run for congress, or even make a speech beyond funerals or their kids’ birthday parties.

On The Job

Above all though, they’re back on the job every day. All across this vast country.

Real America

Finally it was a great relief to see real America after two weeks of speechifying and media coverage of politics in Iowa.
