Similarly this has been a labor of love for me since the beginning.

Moreover I have learned more about people in the United States on the road and on back roads than I ever could have in a radio or podcast studio back home.

To sum up the nomad experience has been sublime for many reasons.

Specifically writing about difficult subjects requires a great deal of attention and energy.

On the other hand there are few things I feel need to be said.

To clarify I like complicated subjects.

As a result my podcasts about the current economy make me happy.

Even more recent podcasts about winter celebrations and their value to our humanity also make me happy.

Further the podcasts also include subject matter about my travels.

People Places and Things

That is to say people I’ve met, places I’ve been and things that have happened.

But fair criticism is accepted.

To sum up I think former broadcasters tend to be more critical. It’s okay. It goes with the territory.

Firstly when I imagined celebrating my one thousandth podcast I did not think I would by high in the Sierras. Come on up to where the flavor is in Celebrating-My-OneThousandth-Podcast-Bob Davis Podcast 1000.

Secondly Celebrating-My-OneThousandth-Podcast-Bob Davis Podcast 1000 is a much different podcast than my 500th podcast celebration.

Most importantly my decision to go on the road permanently and share those experiences has driven my podcasts since last October.

Even more there is a story of how I came to be in an empty campsite in the Sierras on a weekend no less.

However the longer I am out here the more I realize there is a spiritual component to this effort.

That is to say sometimes you ask for help and you get it.

To sum up I needed a deserted campground to drag all my equipment out by the fire and do a podcast.

And I got one!

So this podcast was recorded outside as I got my campfire ready.

Blowing My Own Horn?

Finally it may surprise some to hear me say I don’t like ‘blowing my own horn”.

Proud

But I am proud of my one thousand podcasts.

In short you can crank out a thousand podcasts in about three years if you do one every day.

At least that was my plan when I started.

Unique Content

Subsequently I realized what was needed was unique content in every podcast.

Above all if anyone wanted to listen to all one thousand podcasts they would find one thousand unique takes on all kinds of subjects.

Podcasting Helping Me Grow

In conclusion one of the things I am most happy about is how podcasting helped me grow.

Passion

Even more how this passion for podcasting led me from one place in life to another.
