Reflections From The Desert

Firstly the desert is a perfect place for reflection. Learn more in Reflections-From-The-Desert-Bob Davis Podcast 1075.

Creative Process

Secondly what’s your creative process?

Certainly there’s a lot to discuss about creative process in this podcast.

Free Wheeling Discussion

And a lonely desert with a campfire is the perfect spot for a free wheeling discussion.

Slow Is Fast

Above all I have learned working slowly is actually working fast.

And thorough.

Hyper Person

Of course people have thought of me as a hyper person.

One Thing At A Time

But in fact I like to work on one thing at a time and follow it through.

Stacking Creative Projects

Therefore stopped down in the desert means working on a writing project I’ve given myself.

As well as these podcasts.

Podcast Ideas

In fact developing unique ideas for the podcasts can be difficult these days.

Social Scrim

That is to say my listeners and subscribers know I refuse to get in the political social scrim.

Deeper Issues

However I do feel that advancing the story means talking about deeper issues.

Recent Podcasts Have Been Heavy

As a result some of the podcasts recently have been pretty heavy.

Time for an easy talker.

Campfire

So a campfire is just the ticket.

Structure

I also sum up the structure of my days out here.

Fuel Prices

Due to high fuel prices most nomads I know are hunkered down for the winter.

Southwestern Arizona

In fact Southwestern Arizona is perfect.

Perfect Fall Day

For example now that the monsoon is over everyday out here is like a perfect fall day in the Upper Midwest.

For the rest of the winter.

Channels Of Thought

Most importantly writing in addition to podcasting changes the channels of thought in a good way.

And I think will result in a sense of accomplishment after the winter months pass.

Second Year Anniversary

In short as I come up on the anniversary of a second year of nomad travel there’s a lot to talk about.

First Year

Finally the first year seemed to be in almost constant movement.

Second Year

On the other hand the second year has been a completely different vibe.

Experiences

In conclusion the great thing about nomad life is the experiences the nomad gives himself.

With-A-Grain-Of-Salt-Bob Davis Podcast 1073

Take It With A Grain Of Salt

Above all take it with a grain of salt. Lots of loose talk on almost every subject these days so let’s address it in With-A-Grain-Of-Salt-Bob Davis Podcast 1073.

Don’t Do This Very Often

Firstly I don’t often delve these deep into current events. Here’s why.

Can’t Ignore

On the other hand sometimes you can’t ignore whats going  on.

Nomads Feel It Too

Even more we nomads feel it too.

Loose Talk About Dangerous Things

Secondly the elephant in the room these days is loose talk about complex and dangerous subjects.

Grain Of Salt

Therefore I have decided to talk about it in With-A-Grain-Of-Salt-Bob Davis Podcast 1073.

But With A Lighter Touch

However my discussion of some subjects that could trigger some is with a lighter and more gauzy approach.

Not Going To Ruin The Vibe

Certainly I am not going to ruin the vibe with a lot of details and ‘positions’.

There’s too much of that.

YouTube

In the same vein I would imagine the number one source of information in Nomad Land is YouTube.

Not A Lot Of Fact Checking

As a result there’s not a lot of fact checking going on.

Doom Mongers Require Discussion

So when they start telling us about the chances of a nuclear war or a financial meltdown that requires clarification and a little but of discussion.

Difficult Time

Most importantly I don’t think anyone would argue we’re living through one of the most difficult times in the recent past.

Historically Difficult Time

Furthermore it may prove eventually to be one of the most difficult times for everyday people in history.

And yet life goes on.

Take It Lightly

To sum up With-A-Grain-Of-Salt-Bob Davis Podcast 1073 reminds us all to take what people say on social media and in media in general with a grain of salt.

Better Advice

Finally if things become more serious it’s even better advice.

Issues and Nomad Travel Don’t Always Go Together

In short I don’t often talk about issues like these in my nomad travel podcasts.

The Elephant In The Room

But every now and then you can’t ignore the so called elephant in the room.

And this is a pretty big elephant.

Simplicity-In-A-Storm-Bob Davis Podcast 1070

Simplicity In A Storm

Most importantly there is simplicity in a storm because all you can do is sit there and experience it! Learn more in Simplicity-In-A-Storm-Bob Davis Podcast 1070.

Life Is Complicated

https://www.aconsciousrethink.com/18984/why-is-life-so-complicated/

The Nomad Solution

Certainly nomads will agree being out in the middle of nowhere better than being in a city.

Energy

Firstly there’s a kind of energy in forests, mountains and deserts.

Smooth.

Calm.

Opposite In The City

Secondly you get the opposite energy in cities.

Some Small Towns Not Good

Even more these days in small towns.

Which is a surprise.

Suburbs?

For instance the “Suburbanization” of small towns like Flagstaff, Arizona.

Carnival In The Red Rocks

Or the “Wisconsin Dells” approach of places like Sedona, Arizona.

Finally there is the Internet.

Zombie Companies

And modern companies.

Lists

We all have our lists.

I’ll give you my list in Simplicity-In-A-Storm-Bob Davis Podcast 1070.

Experience A Full Monsoon Storm

But for this podcast it is the opportunity to finally fully record one of the west’s magnificent Monsoon storms.

Headphones Please

Even more the chance for listeners to sit back, put their headphones on and have the same experience I had recording.

There Has To Be A Better Way

Above all I can’t help feeling like there has to be a better way.

I Just Don’t Know What It Is

To clarify all these ‘improvements’ were supposed to make our lives easier.

How’d That Turn Out For You?

In short I am not sure anyone thinks it turned out that way.

Hitting The Road Is The Antidote

Above all this is the main reason I hit the road.

And that is true of many others.

Relax

In the same vein there is a very relaxing approach to life when you’re a nomad.

Hey! There’ No Signal In Paradise

Especially when you find yourself unable to check your social media, send and receive messages, or even make a call.

It Will Have To Wait

It’ll have to wait, whatever it is!

Nature Rewires Us

Likewise there’s something about nature that has rewired my city brain.

Storms Sun Vistas And Fun

In conclusion I’d rather be out here with the storms and sun, vistas and fun, than the city.

After that what can one say?

The Dream Is Alive…In Portland?

Sitting and drinking in cafes in urban neighborhoods just doesn’t compare to the mist after the rain, a fire, and a simple cup of coffee after the rain.
