Changing-Nomad-Travel-Plans-Again-Bob Davis Podcast 1099

Changing Nomad Travel Plans Again

Firstly you might want to save changing nomad travel plans again to listen in the dark night of winter. You’ll hear why in Changing-Nomad-Travel-Plans-Again-Bob Davis Podcast 1099.

Live From The Lake Shore

Secondly from the shore of one of those famous fishing lakes in Western Wisconsin comes the sounds of early spring up here.

No Bugs Yet

That is to say the bugs really haven’t gotten started yet.

Mirror Smooth Lake

And between early spring thunderstorms there’s the full moon and mist on a mirror smooth lake.

Audio Rules This World

Certainly audio captures this experience in a way video could not.

Self Realization

Furthermore since I have moved down to the lake shore I have realized something.

Nothing Like A Campfire

That is to say I am surprised how much better I feel with a campfire than inside even a lux North woods cabin.

Or the confined of a well used work shed.

Better Outside Than In

In fact I feel better these days outside and camping than I do inside.

Still Spring Night

On the other hand there is the difference between the still spring night in the upper Midwest…

And the steady breeze of the West.

Travel Plans

Finally we’ll get to travel plans.

Headed North East From Here

Most importantly heading East to pick up a power station from the Campulance Man in New York State.

And to see friends in New Hampshire.

Then heading to the coast for a wedding.

Back To Arizona

In addition I’ll discuss plans for returning to the American South West.

Back Roads Again

After that I’ll return to my usual theme of the back roads experience.

No Plan Is A Plan

To sum up I guess no plan is a plan.

Grateful Too

Most importantly I find myself very grateful for the opportunity to get back outside to a fire.

With unlimited firewood and black coffee.

Moreover steak and eggs or eggs and bacon in a iron skillet is pretty hard to beat.

Eleven Hundred Podcasts

In conclusion I can’t believe I am closing in on eleven hundred podcasts.

Travel and Nomad Experience

Many now focused on travel and the nomad experience.

Firstly Goodbye 2022 Hello 2023. Cue the fireworks for Goodbye-2022-Hello-2023-Bob Davis Podcast 1083.

Many Thanks

Secondly many people to thank for contributing and sponsoring.

Supporters and Mentors

In addition every year on New Year’s Eve I do a podcast and thank everyone who lent their support to help mentor me way back in 2009 when I started this podcast.

It’s Been A Year

Certainly this has been a year.

That is to say it was difficult.

Maybe It’s Been 2 Years

And it has been difficult going back to 2020!

Major Transition

Above all while I think we’re going through a major transition on many levels New Year’s Eve isn’t the best time to chronicle all that.

New Year’s Eve Is For Thank You’s

In fact New Year’s Eve is great for sending thank you’s.

Look Ahead

And a look ahead for 2023 travel and challenges.

Tough Times

To clarify the elephant in the room has been inflation.

For Nomads Too

Furthermore I’ve done more than a few podcasts about inflation and what it means for the nomad.

Economic Issues

Most importantly economic issues have made 2022 difficult.

Optimistic For 2023

I prefer to remain optimistic for 2023.

Challenges

In the same vein though I think there are economic challenges ahead that can be good and bad for different people around the world and the country

On the other hand this podcast will not be going into economic stuff too deeply.

Parties!

Because we have parties to get ready for!

Artistic Business Challenges

In short there are people to thank.

As well as some talk about running an artistic business.

Change Is An Ongoing Theme

To sum up 2022 has been tough. I’ve had to change how I travel.

Barnstorming

Certainly that means less barnstorming around the country.

Enriched

However my life has been enriched by relationships with other nomads formed because I was forced to stay in one place more than I would have liked.

Grateful

Finally there are things to be grateful for.

Maybe more so because of the kind of year we all had.

In conclusion change seems to have been a theme this year and is certainly on the horizon next year.

Happy New Year

Therefore Happy New Year.

Not-Defending-Nomad-Life-Bob Davis Podcast 1081

Not Defending Nomad Life

Most importantly I am not defending nomad life in this podcast. Some people think that is what I do. My response is here in Not-Defending-Nomad-Life-Bob Davis Podcast 1081.

Constructive Criticism

Firstly I’ve learned once in a while you have to accept constructive criticism.

Secondly a friend recently said the podcasts make him sad because I defend nomad life too much.

Content Review

Therefore I reviewed my recent content.

And I couldn’t disagree more.

Introspective Podcast

Above all in this introspective podcast I talk about the nomad experience.

Perspective

However I put this life in perspective.

Variety

Furthermore in my review of content I concluded there’s enough variety.

Writing Project

In addition I talk about a writing project in Not-Defending-Nomad-Life-Bob Davis Podcast 1081.

Attention and Energy

Specifically writing about difficult subjects requires a great deal of attention and energy.

Top Of Mind

So the podcasts aren’t necessarily top of mind every day.

What Needs To Be Said

On the other hand there are few things I feel need to be said.

Complicated

To clarify I like complicated subjects.

As a result my podcasts about the current economy make me happy.

Even more recent podcasts about winter celebrations and their value to our humanity also make me happy.

Moreover there’s always content about life experience.

Examples Here

For example here, and here and here.

No Back Slapping

In short I don’t do back slapping inside humor types of podcasts

No Boring Interviews

Similarly my experience has been most people don’t make good interview subjects.

And so called experts usually regurgitate the stuff they say everywhere else.

No Experts

Finally The Bob Davis Podcasts are about my experiences and my internal reactions to those experiences.

Travel

Further the podcasts also include subject matter about my travels.

People Places and Things

That is to say people I’ve met, places I’ve been and things that have happened.

But fair criticism is accepted.

Once a Broadcaster Always A Broadcaster

To sum up I think former broadcasters tend to be more critical. It’s okay. It goes with the territory.
