4 Percent Economic Growth? Ebola. Hamas. Aliens. Updates on all the big stories for your weekend, from the Bob Davis Podcasts. The Podcasting world welcomes Jason Lewis and Jessie Ventura to its ranks. Both broadcasters can’t find a home with traditional ‘over-the-air’ radio stations, so are moving to podcasts. This means more and more talk listeners will be using their home computers, portables, iPads, iPhones and other devices to get good talk radio, not the radio. Good for us Podcasters, bad for the rapidly imploding world of broadcast, especially what passes for talk radio in broadcast radio. The economic news is good, and while it is celebrated, there are some caveats everyone should know about. And, inflation is back, despite people like Professor Paul Krugman denying it. Ebola continues to spread, and while authorities caution that the disease has to be in an advanced stage and you have to have very close contact with the infected to get it, they’re restricting flights in and out of the areas of Africa infected. On the US Southwestern border, Scabies, TB and Chicken Pox are emerging among the illegal aliens being held, and moved all over the United States. In the Middle East, the Israeli left is furious with John Kerry, and now President Obama, who is doubling down on what many on the left in Israel and the US believe was a terrible mistake by the US Secretary of State; A cease fire agreement which seemed to grant all the advantages to HAMAS in Gaza, and not Israel. Is this another foreign policy debacle brewing, as the Israeli left – big supporters of Obama – now consider the US President to have switched sides. While unions fight for higher minimum wages for Retail and Fast Food Workers, look out … robots and machines are taking their places at the biggest companies. And, over 3500 days without  a major hurricane in Florida, and the great lakes are inverting — with very low water temperatures for this time of year. What happened to Global Warming? Impeach Obama. Is that all some people on the right have to say? Just about 100 days left until the midterm election day, November 4th, 2014. What are people on the right FOR? What are Republicans FOR? What politician is going to debate his or her opponent, has had a gaffe, which politician said what about the other seem to have precedence in the mind of the electorate. While this may be fine for Progressives, it won’t do for the Right. While republicans are still trying to win the rhetorical battle, democrats are raising more cash, and more cash from small donors than Republicans. What’s more potentially damaging for Republicans? Democrats are raising a lot of cash on the specter of Impeachment. Begging the question, What is the right actually in favor of. 100 days out and the Republicans don’t seem to have a ground game, other than Impeach Obama and call your Congressman (that is if you actually know who your Congressman is). If the right doesn’t get it together, the story of the election will be, “What happened to Republicans? … Again”. Moreover, impeachment is no guarantee Obama will actually be removed from office, and specifically for what?. Not to mention, it would put Joe Biden in the White House. Is Russia about to Invade Ukraine? Even though President Obama and all those writers made all those strong statements and wrote all those articles saying the loss of nearly 300 lives onboard MH-17 was Russia’s fault, and that it would hurt Russia? Is it possible empty words do not deter aggressors? As President Obama readies his executive orders for the border illegal immigration crisis, talk of impeachment continues to percolate. While impeachment may be the only legal remedy for an executive gone wild, would the nation support it? How would that work with a Senate controlled by democrat – and wait! Who would be Vice President? Joe Biden? Oops! Meanwhile cascading crises may solve the Obama problem long before the House gets around to impeachment. How many problems can the US handle? When will people stop watching baseball, and the Tour and start paying attention to world affairs? Sponsored by Baklund R & D.
