An age of disruption (as overused as that term is) is just beginning. All Americans are on this journey together, and all Americans will experience ‘history’ when the journey ends. The media ill serves us in this quest. What are the problems? How do we learn what works to solve those problems? How do we re-learn the citizenship process to help ourselves? Because no one is coming to help…and our ‘leaders’ aren’t creative enough, to solve them. Either informed, responsible citizens will decide the future, through the political process, or the mob will. Meanwhile, dinner and a podcast, is in order. ‘Tam’ and Bob Davis have been through a number of adventures over the years, from using illegal scanners to ‘police call’ to obsessing about diets that do not exist. Bob interviews ‘Tam’ and ‘Tam’ interviews Bob in this podcast. Tam works at a station that features pop culture news. While they are different disciplines, the pop culture ‘talk’ world is similar to the News Talk world. Does she ever get tired of it? What is Tam still obsessing about. Tam wants to share some stories about how weird Bob is, some of which are funny, and some of which involve loss and death. Finally, an idea for the State Fair that probably won’t fly. It’s amazing what you can talk about these days when you put down Politico for five minutes. Impeach Obama. Is that all some people on the right have to say? Just about 100 days left until the midterm election day, November 4th, 2014. What are people on the right FOR? What are Republicans FOR? What politician is going to debate his or her opponent, has had a gaffe, which politician said what about the other seem to have precedence in the mind of the electorate. While this may be fine for Progressives, it won’t do for the Right. While republicans are still trying to win the rhetorical battle, democrats are raising more cash, and more cash from small donors than Republicans. What’s more potentially damaging for Republicans? Democrats are raising a lot of cash on the specter of Impeachment. Begging the question, What is the right actually in favor of. 100 days out and the Republicans don’t seem to have a ground game, other than Impeach Obama and call your Congressman (that is if you actually know who your Congressman is). If the right doesn’t get it together, the story of the election will be, “What happened to Republicans? … Again”. Moreover, impeachment is no guarantee Obama will actually be removed from office, and specifically for what?. Not to mention, it would put Joe Biden in the White House.
