Rolling-With-The-Changes-Bob Davis Podcast 977

Rolling With The Changes

Firstly there’s a lot of change and we’re rolling with the changes. Especially when there is a family emergency. Learn more in Rolling-With-The-Changes-Bob Davis Podcast 977.

Abrupt Change Happens In Everyone’s Life

Secondly abrupt and surprising developments visit everyone sooner or later.

Flexibility Is Called For

Most importantly you have to be flexible enough to deal with abrupt change, even when you’re nomad.

Not Easy

Certainly I was having a great time. From Minnesota to the Gulf Coast, across the desert to Southwestern Arizona.

Plans Shift and Things Change

Even more, I had plans to head further west to an big off road race in Johnson County, California.

Things Happen

But things happen, as they say.

Whatever It Takes

Above all when your family is in crisis you have to do whatever you can.

Nomad Travel Rewind

In my case that required me to rewind all my travels in just a few days.

Interstate Driving

Subsequently I drove East on the I-10 to I-17 North, to 40 East all the way from Arizona to Virginia, and then I-85 North to the Richmond area.

All A Blur

As a result there were a lot of truck stop stays which I don’t remember. In addition a number of sights that were a blur, like the Cadillac Ranch.

Marathon Trek

In fact I didn’t even think to record anything for this podcast in Mobile Podcast while making that marathon trek.

Massive Change

Finally the point here is that we’re going through massive change. Some will applaud the changes. Others will not.

Flexible Enough To Roll With The Changes

Likewise as I have pointed out in many recent podcasts, during periods of intense change and challenge, one has to be able to roll with the changes.

To sum up, flexibility is required.

Attached To Outcomes?

For example right now I am dealing with a number of strong and independent personalities, myself included. Being rigid and attached to a certain outcome doesn’t really help in this environment. I’ll explain in Rolling-With-The-Changes-Bob Davis Podcast 977.

Listen And Learn More

In conclusion clearly there’s something going on here. You’ll have to listen to find out.

Quartzsite-Arizona-Live-Bob Davis Podcast 976

Quartzsite Live!

Most importantly I am in Quartzsite Arizona Live for the biggest RV show of the year. But I arrived here a week early! Join me for a Quartzsite primer in Quartzsite-Arizona-Live-Bob Davis Podcast 976.

Crazy Stories

Firstly I have heard this story differently before.

Secondly the truth is even more bizarre.

Camels and Quartzsite

To clarify Camels and Quartzsite go back to 1850 and then Secretary of War Jefferson Davis.

Desert Terrain

Above all Davis had the bright idea of using camels to transport people across the rocky desert terrain out here. Click here for at least some the details.

Modern Day Outlaws Too

Even more Quartzsite figures into the story of violent outlaw Gary Tisen. Here’s a link to the 2017 movie.

Meanwhile as I sit here in the desert in front of a fire every night I am reminded that every place seems to have its own history.

What Makes Travel Great

Certainly discovering unique stories of the past and regional differences are what make travel so great.

RV Culture

Further I can’t wait to get into the RV culture and look for some Mobile Podcast Command creature comforts.

Nomad Travel Vehicles Too

In the same vein there are many different people and unique types of nomad travel vehicles here.

Staying In The Desert

Finally thanks to my friend Neil Seven I’ll be headed west to the California desert for the most bizarre and intense off road race in the country. Lots of other RV people and nomads headed that way as well.

Road School Is Damn Good Therapy

In conclusion call it wandering, being a nomad or just road school. Hanging with Mobile Podcast Command and going where I want is pretty damn good therapy for whatever ails you.

Nomad-Avoids-National-Insanity-Bob Davis Podcast 975

This Nomad Avoids National Insanity

Firstly listen to Nomad-Avoids-National-Insanity-Bob Davis Podcast 975. And to my New Years Podcast here.

Peace In Campground

Secondly I have new respect for nomads and travelers who seek the peace of the campground.

New Year New Themes

Above all this podcast continues some of the themes of my new years podcast.

It’s Not Over

I don’t think the craziness is over, for example.

And we’re not going to resolve our differences anytime soon.

Hit The Road

As a result I have gone on the road. Permanently.

Not Touching Nomads

In short most of the things that are driving people crazy right now aren’t touching me.

A Fire And A Sunset Is A Good Cure

In the same vein sitting by a fire and watching the sunset will cure almost any neurosis!

Back In The Day

For example a few years ago I would have been all over the mess in the US Capitol this week.

No more.

Political Talk Is Bad Energy

To clarify many of my new listeners and subscribers don’t want the bad energy political talk brings.

Sick To Death Of It All

Even more many of my long term people are just sick to death of the whole thing.

I don’t blame them.

Coffee, Fire and Sunset

Moreover when I put the sunset, coffee and fire together, who cares?

Welcome To The Epoch Of Upheaval

Finally I would be a fool to deny we’re living through a significant period of upheaval.

No Triggers

But if you allow yourself to be triggered by every event you’re going to have a tough time.

Let Outcomes Go For Now

In addition it’s not a good idea to attach our attention to outcomes.

Stay Flexible

Most importantly we have to stay flexible.

Change and Challenge Ahead

That is to say even more change and challenge is ahead.

Pace yourselves.

The Wilderness Helps

Meanwhile getting out in the wilderness anywhere can’t hurt.
