Podcast 493 – The Bob Davis Podcasts Radio Show 24

The Bob Davis Podcasts Radio Show 24. I’ve been doing a syndicated radio show for about 6 months. It is distributed through GCNLIVE.com. The Bob Davis Podcasts Radio Show 24 airs in Minneapolis on AM1280 The Patriot at 4PM on Saturdays. As we get new affiliates I will announce them.  People often ask me, “How do I hear the radio show”, so I thought I would post it as a podcast so you can hear what it sounds like. Another reason for posting it here as, syndicated radio shows are audio processed before they air on satellite, so they can be aired from the satellite by radio stations. As a result of all the audio processing the final product on the radio sometimes is not as good technically as the original. The great thing about podcasts – especially the Bob Davis Podcasts – is our attention to detail and specifically detail when it comes to audio processing and quality. I am posting the show here because I want people to be able to listen to it as it actually sounds, before all the processing for the satellite, and on the radio. It’ll give you a little idea of why I am such an evangelist for audio delivered on demand over the Internet. For listeners of the Bob Davis Podcasts, the weekly show condenses some of the content from the podcasts into a weekly radio show format. There is additional content not heard in the podcasts, especially the first segment and comments leading into each of the segments. This week I devoted a little time to the recent announcement by Senator Ted Cruz of Carly Fiorina’s new status as his ‘running mate’. Is this a good move? In this show we cover issues related to the ‘Just Getting By Economy’, a condensed version of my summary of the presidential preference primaries coming up, and some of the discussion this week on all the TV Binge viewing we all seem to do, which received a lot of great reaction. Thanks to everyone for listening to The Bob Davis Podcasts, thanks for checking out The Bob Davis Podcasts Radio Show 24, and let me know if you think I should post the show every week. Sunny Lohmann – Podcast 454

Sunny Lohmann. Political Humorist Sunny joins the Bob Davis Podcasts with an announcement about a new You Tube effort, plus  the top stories catching her attention. Sunny announces a new You Tube channel, details at House of Sunny TV. From the mass attack on women in Germany, by ‘Middle Eastern’ and ‘East African’ men which appears to have been coordinated, to the rancher dispute in Oregon and the occupation of a federal government wildlife facility in the middle of nowhere, Sunny’s got game. From there it’s onto Guns! Guns! Guns! The President’s executive orders on gun control and what they mean, and discussion of crime and firearm statistics. Almost all of these numbers are fertile ground for political activists and point of view journalists, as well as presidents, as witnessed by President Obama’s recent CNN ‘Town Hall’ meeting on gun control. According to Sunny, one of the things point of view researchers do is lump firearm suicides and incidents where law abiding citizens have defended themselves and property with firearms, with mass shootings. Moreover, the question of whether to include a terror incident which includes a mass shooting such as San Bernardino, with other types of mass shooting events is usually never addressed by commentators … but it is here. Do ‘conservatives’ in the United States need another enemy? Sunny and Bob react to a nationally syndicated columnist and talk show hosts call for ‘statism’ to become the ‘new philosophical enemy’ of ‘conservatives’. Sounds like another opportunity for a talk show host to sell books and to gin up more outrage. Bob and Sunny also talk about life, raising children and visits to the Golden State; California, where Sunny lives. Surprisingly enough both agree, “It’s beautiful there.” Sponsored by Pride of Homes and Luke Team Real Estate and Hydrus Performance.

New Thinking Part II – Podcast 453

New Thinking Part II. Tyranny of The State? Browsing through today’s headlines yields a mix of factional outrage and emotion. Whether it’s the President issuing executive orders to ‘end’ mass shootings, or activist ranchers from Nevada showing up in Oregon to occupy a federal wildlife facility, or the UK parliament debating whether to ‘keep Donald Trump out’, it seems like the political world has gone crazy. With more and more people doing anything and everything to get on TV, or get clicks, eyeballs, ears, or supporters to show up at controlled events, one wonders whether the proverbial mob, feared most by the founders, has finally reared its ugly head. The second installment of the Bob Davis Podcast series ‘New Thinking’ looks at the desire factions seem to have to coerce ‘someone’ to ‘do something’ and the hypocrisy implicit in those demands. More ‘action’ these days is being taken by courts, unelected councils and boards controlling huge sums of money, their own police forces, are issuing edicts local towns and villages have to comply with. Local princes hold councils, in secret and behind closed doors to pound elected officials into submission. Protests are mounted by factional fronts with hashtag names and shadowy backing, all with the goal of dominating local or national television coverage. Presidential candidates vow to reverse executive orders of previous presidents, make promises that can’t and won’t be kept, and set unrealistic goals. Aren’t the people in this country supposed to be in charge? Isn’t the government supposed to protect our rights? How do we get things back on track when people operate on loose facts, when debate is a contest for the most slicing snarky comment, and name calling is the order of the day?
