Minimum Wage. A Stillwater Minnesota restaurant is under fire from rabid leftist netizens for adding a .35 cent “minimum wage fee” to the bills of customers to compensate for a 75 percent increase in the minimum wage in Minnesota. Can the ‘price of labor’ be set by Government? Get ready for an onslaught of ‘junk research’ ‘proving’ the minimum wage decreases unemployment. Is it valid? How is the minimum wage like the French Revolution? Meanwhile, President Obama says ‘Congress’ should ‘end’ corporate inversions – the practice of buying or merging with a foreign company and moving the home office out of the US. The solution? Make it Illegal? Sick the IRS on firms that have strayed from obedience to Obama? What about lowering the US corporate tax, currently now the highest in the world. And what are the top investors in companies that invert? The answer may surprise you. Meanwhile, the 1 percent continue to legally avoid paying tax. Actor and liberal activist Robert Redford, who made millions from selling his stake in The Sundance Channel, says he doesn’t owe New York a cent in taxes since his S corporation already paid taxes in Utah. Pay your fair share, huh? And what about Robert Reich, former labor secretary in the Clinton administration, currently on the hustings condemning the “1 percenters” for creating no social value. Reich currently earns over $250,000 a year for teaching one class at the University of California, not to mention his earnings for speaking and books. One percent indeed! And Ebola continues to frighten people. Africans are now angry they aren’t getting the ‘vaccine’ the US has given to two of its citizens. Is it a vaccine? Has it cured them? Finally, there is proof the media is biased. A secret cabal of left wing journalists collaborate in private to gain support for their appearances in media, and write articles to further the left’s goals, and never reveal their association in the articles they write. Start the week off right. Updates on the key stories. Friday brought ‘good news’ with the latest unemployment numbers. More people are employed, but the media seems to want you to believe the economy is ‘roaring’ back. Is this the ‘Recovery Summer’ we’ve been waiting for. Shocking news from the NOAA; Looks like the United States has actually been cooling for the last ten years, debunking the theory that ‘Global Warming’ has caused forest fires out west and tornados in the midwest over the last decade or so. No matter how much James Hansen and Al Gore scream and yell and pound, the new data is not good for the ‘warmists’. Is there a feud between the Obama’s and the Clinton’s? Some say rumors of such a feud are political “BS”. If so why is the President’s right hand Valerie Jarett being dispatched to court Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren for President in 2016? And in the Twin Cities, the Met Council is so hell bent for leather to build the Southwest Light Rail its ‘mediating’ the conflict between two South Minneapolis neighborhoods of one percenters (and loyal democrats) who don’t want it in their backyard. Will the planned tunnel project drain the signature city lakes? Sponsored by X Government Cars

Economy News. The US Economy Contracts 2.9 Per Cent. The ‘economy’ is back at the top of the page as final revised numbers for the 1st quarter indicate a shocking contraction in US GDP. Will the second quarter be better, the same or worse? If you listen to the mainstream media, the White House and the  financial channels, you’d think it’s all because of the polar vortex and the long winter. Is it? Or is it due to reductions in investment, the creation of part time jobs, Obamacare, higher corporate taxes, new tax policy implementation and generally misdirected or confused economic policy by President Obama and the Democrat Congress before 2010? What kind of economic policy does the US need to achieve dynamic and rapid economic growth? How are democrats and republicans off in the weeds, with seemingly no idea how to achieve such growth. What do voters need to do to get things righted in 2014? It’s all here in one little podcast! Sponsored by Baklund R & D
