Podcast 445

The Highway Song. As the media cycle repeats on an endless loop, boredom begins to set in. How many more arguments do you want to hear about Donald Trump being Hitler, or Ted Cruz being Ted Cruz, or Hillary Clinton and Benghazi? There is a real world waiting to be experienced. Not the make believe world the media’s twenty four hour a day obsession with American politics seems to be showing us. When there’s a new wrinkle, the Bob Davis Podcasts will break in with an update. Meanwhile this podcast asks, is travel an escape from reality or is travel reality and our lives are an escape from travel? A walk and talk through a ‘warm’ early December evening is designed to stir your memories of travel and your wanderlust. Where have you gone? Where would you like to go? Why? When did you first experience a sense of wonder as you traveled to new places? Was it a road trip with the parents? A first flight to some exotic location in the islands? A ski trip in the mountains? A road trip, with college friends, back in the day? What cities have you visited? Where would you like to visit? New York City? Chicago? New Orleans? San Francisco? Las Vegas? For me its all about the road trip. As I prepare for the big Mobile Podcast Command Winter ’16 trip to Iowa for the caucuses, then onto the mid south, and the eastern seaboard through the North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas, my mind turns to the things I see and learn through the screen … the windscreen that is. There’s nothing better for the soul. Sponsored by Ryan Plumbing and Heating of Saint Paul and X Government Trucks

Do Something! Sick of Obama? Do something about it. Lots of emails from Bob Davis Podcast Subscribers asking for podcasts answering the President’s address to the nation last night. How about doubling the voter turn out in your neighborhood by organizing your precinct? You can bitch and moan about Obama this, and Obama that, or you can do something about it. In this podcast Political Activist Mitch Rossow introduces his new precinct organizing training program. This is a longer than normal podcast that tells you how to organize your neighborhood to win. We’re not talking about events. We’re not talking about lit drops. We’re not talking about messaging or attending your local Basic Political Unit Meeting. From the caucuses up, every citizen (in Minnesota at least) has an almost open road to become a precinct activist and having a direct impact on the 2016 election cycle. So, people have two choices. They can sit on Facebook and shake their heads, tweet a snarky analysis of the President’s speech, listen to another lecture about Jesus and The American Republic at a Tea Party meeting, or you can actually stand up and do something real. Mitch is ready to do Precinct Organizing Training Workshops. He can show you how to double the republican turn out in your precinct in one hour, and give you the tools to do it. Yelling and screaming, posting on social media, tweeting, being frustrated and angry isn’t going to win the election. Only organizing will. Let’s get to work. Podcast 431 – Jason Lewis Interview Pt 1

Jason Lewis Interview Part 1. The Bob Davis Podcasts Mobile Command Unit 8 travelled to Lakeville, Minnesota for a live podcast with Second District Republican Congressional Candidate Jason Lewis, and State Senator Dave Thompson. A few of Jason’s early supporters piled into the Mobile Unit for this podcast at the Main Street Cafe in Lakeville, on Halloween 2015. In part 1, we cover Jason’s position on whether to honor the republican endorsement, the political makeup of the 2nd district, funding education, the role of the federal government, transportation, and immigration, to name just a few of the issues. Senator Dave Thompson adds his own thoughts on the US Constitution, state issues like funding the Vikings stadium, education, transportation. Both Jason and Dave talk about spending and taxation, the economy and the future. Lewis is running against at least three other republican candidates for the 2nd District GOP endorsement, to determine which republican defends the 2nd district’s seat against democrat challengers in 2016. Part of the conversation about opponents involves raising money; Where does a candidate get it, and how beholden he or she is to contributors. As a former radio talk show host, Jason Lewis is quick witted and is known for in depth answers to questions, which is unusual in politics these days. Lewis says he has no illusions about his experience in radio, and the name recognition that comes with it, and tells the Bob Davis Podcasts he intends to campaign hard for delegates and votes. Get in on the ground floor of a congressional campaign, live from the Mobile Podcast Command Unit, with the diesel running. Sponsored by Ryan Plumbing and Heating of Saint Paul
