Coping With Setbacks and Shortages

Above all no one ever said coping with setbacks and shortages is easy. You can let shortages and setbacks ruin the travel vibe or stay in the flow. Learn about my latest exploits on the road in Nevada in Coping-With-Setbacks-Shortages-Bob Davis Podcast 1020.

Trying To Take My Time Traveling

Firstly I’ve been making quite an effort lately to take my time traveling.

The Plan

Secondly the plan was to spend several days in Nevada.

Not To Be

This was not to be.

Losing A Tire In The Vastness of Nevada

To clarify heading into a campground in the middle of nowhere in the Silver State I blew a tire.

Ely Nevada Is All Right

On the other hand the good news is four tires on the back of mobile podcast command so the remaining three tires carried me safely an additional 48 miles to Ely, Nevada.

Four Kick Ass New Tires And A Oil Change

Further I got myself four new all terrain tires and had a great time in a pretty cool small town in the mountains.

Attitude

As a result of all this I was reminded again how important attitude is.

Gratitude

Gratitude and staying in the flow allowed me to get through this mini crisis with ease.

Be Happy When You Have To Deal With Problems

Moreover I had a pretty good time dealing with some difficult issues.

Even more considering stories in the news about shortages getting four new tires and the filter for the oil change in a small town out west was no small feat.

Parallel To Real Life

Certainly there is a parallel to real life here.

Something’s Going To Give

Most importantly sooner or later something’s got to give.

Just Don’t Lose It

After that some people freak out and the experience ruins their day, trip, month or life.

Right?

Facts Of Nomad Life

However one thing about nomad life I have experienced.

Sooner or later you’re going to end up on the side of the road.

Life Too

So it is with normal life.

Shortages

For example you don’t have to go very deep into social media to learn there are earth shattering shortages coming.

Preppers Cleaning Up

Buy dried food and put it in the basement, right?

Media Horror Stories

Even more there are all kinds of potential horror stories about the pandemic, real estate prices and the stock market to boot.

Stay In The Flow

Finally the one thing I have learned is to stay in the attitude of gratitude.

And to stay in the high vibration travel vibe.

To sum up no one wants to spend a ton of money on new tires.

No one wants to deal with national and international economic issues, right?

On the other hand adults know these things happen.

Therefore it’s best to be prepared and roll with it.

I’ll tell you what I did in Coping-With-Setbacks-Shortages-Bob Davis Podcast 1020.

Stock Market Drop Forecast Crisis-Die By Market-Perspective-Podcast 699

Amazing what a two day rollercoaster ride in the stock market does? Perspective tends to focus our thinking. In Stock Market Drop Forecast Crisis-Die By Market-Perspective-Podcast 699.

Market Drops Provide Perspective

Recent ups and downs in the markets are a great thought starter. Sudden changes whether predictable or not, can provide some needed perspective.

Trump Stops Saying He Made Markets Sing

Most recently the market dropped 666 points during President Trump’s speech. On the next business day the Dow dropped more than a thousand points. Trump stopped saying he made the markets sing because of the drop.

Most noteworthy our national conversation shifted from what we did during the Super Bowl to the markets in one day. In the grand scheme of things one thousand points is not the end of the world. Maybe. We’ll talk about it in Stock Market Drop Forecast Crisis-Die By Market-Perspective-Podcast 699.

Grandpa And Crazy Uncle Joe Love Fox News

Suddenly the idea of Washington DC driving media coverage seems stale. Google Trends shows interest in political news barely makes it into the top twenty. The market drop is one of the top searched topics. Especially relevant are the demos for so called news channels. As they keep talking politics their viewership keeps getting older.

Younger adults aren’t spending their time with Sean Hannity. What’s more the topics they search for don’t include the Nunes Memo or the Russians. Find out why and what in Stock Market Drop Forecast Crisis-Die By Market-Perspective-Podcast 699.

The Narrative Is A Bill of Goods

A republican president wants to help business, goes the narrative. The economy will grow. The stock market proves it. Right? All the top CEO’s and business leaders are ready to invest. Just look at the market.

Wait! What?Ru

Trouble Ahead?

In conclusion, there’s an old saying that markets sometimes indicate trouble ahead. Consider the fact that a marketplace represents thousands of people and billions of decisions about what to buy and sell. Maybe the market knows something we don’t.

If true, the old saw that the market predicts the future might be onto something. If it is it’s a lot bigger than the Russian Dossier and FBI corruption.

Podcast 257

Weekend Update. Extreme weather in Buffalo, New York drops at least 6 feet of snow; more in one day than they get all year, and that’s extreme, even for a place like Buffalo. This weekend the Bills have to play in Detroit due to the snow. Speaking of Football Stadiums. Minnesota has one of the worst professional sports stadium deals in the country. That is, Minnesota taxpayers will pay a larger share of the new Vikings Stadium than taxpayers in other states pay for theirs. Imagine Vikings fans surprise when they learned from The Minneapolis Tribune, the Vikings will pay a larger share for ‘their’ stadium. How much? A little more than half a million dollars. Yeah. Kudos to the Star-Tribune for providing the people of Minneapolis-Saint Paul and the state of Minnesota with a free ad for the Minnesota Vikings. We’d like to see them pay a lot more, like about 600 MILLION more, but that will never happen thanks to so called fiscally responsible republicans in the state legislature who did the stadium deal back in the day. Minnesota Senator Al Franken is all up in Uber’s grill because of comments made by an executive of the company ‘threatening’ a ‘journalist’ — and revealing the company keeps electronic records of all their clients’ travels. The Senator wrote an angry letter to the company demanding to know whether it is keeping data, confidential. Isn’t it nice, with all the other issues; immigration, Keystone, and War, the Senator found time to stand up for a journalist. By the way, that little ‘I Agree’ button is something he might want to take a look at. And speaking of parasitic capitalists: When Tesla’s Elon Musk isn’t profiting from energy subsidies or selling carbon credits to his direct competitors, he’s braying about artificial intelligence and how it will destroy humanity. Always good for positive media coverage from reporters who don’t know what AI is anyway. But the Japanese are forging ahead with FEMBOTS! Soon they will be receptionists, TV presenters, even companions! And Japan doesn’t care if they take over, since everyone is too old to work there. Then there is Bill Cosby. While the media acts as judge, and jury it is important to remember Cosby has never been charged, or convicted of anything. Is it ok that the media gets to decide whether someone is a rapist, murderer or thief? What about spy? Just sayin’. Finally some thoughts about work. More people these days are leaving corporate america to start their own small businesses. Never before have the tools been better for amplifying the individual.  With as much as 13 percent of the work force is checking out of the cubicle, into their own businesses who can blame them? Working for most of today’s corporations is nothing but drudgery and people are getting sick of it. What will the future company look like, and how will people work for them? Sponsored by Depotstar
