Waffle-House-Carb-Fest-Bob Davis Podcast 969

Waffle House Carb Fest

Firstly I have not been eating a lot since I hit the road. Time to join me live at the table in Waffle-House-Carb-Fest-Bob Davis Podcast 969.

Starving Myself

Secondly I did not know I was starving myself until I got dizzy.

Eating On The Road

Consequently this is a great opportunity for a podcast about eating on the road.

Smothered In Butter and Syrup

Moreover Hell yes I will have the hash browns, sausage, and scrambled eggs! And yes I will have the toast with butter. Even more I’ll take that waffle as well, smothered in butter and syrup.

Too Much Protein?

Certainly I was surprised to realize I was eating only protein and not very much of it at that.

Smoothie In The Morning – Steak At Night

For example a protein smoothie in the morning, energy bar at noon, and steak for dinner in the Walmart parking lot.

Pulling The Belt In!

Above all not a lot of carbs. Yes I lost weight. Yes I had to buy a new belt. But that’s good, right?

Questions Questions

Meanwhile people keep asking me questions about life on the road.

Where do you stay? What about RV Parks?

Grand Canyon or Truck Stop?

I see a lot of nomads posting great pics of the Grand Canyon on Instagram and Facebook. Or great hikes in the Great Smoky Mountains.

On The Beach

I have a few pics of me on a beach. However I am more of a truck stop, Walmart parking lot guy.

Work. Travel. Sleep. Do It Again.

For example pull into the truck stop and go to work on a podcast, or blog. Post it. Sleep. Get up and do it all over again.

Boondock

In the same vein I’ve certainly stayed at National Parks. In this podcast I highlight a Boondock on an abandoned beach in a National Park.

Parking Lots

But I love me a Walmart parking lot. I can get ice and a laundry bag the next day.

One Skillet Meals

Even more I am not above a one skillet meal in a truck stop parking lot, with the cook stove on the back of Mobile Podcast Command. A lot of people show off their luxurious vegan meals. One skillet lends itself to bacon and eggs.

Hash Browns Save The Day

But every now and then you need hash browns, a waffle, and some toast.

And more coffee.

Not For Everyone

Finally, my approach to nomad life isn’t for everyone but I think it’s better than touring antique shops and backing the Prevost into a 77 dollar a night RV Park ‘campsite’.

Taking-My-Time-Isn’t-Easy-Bob Davis Podcast 963

Taking My Time Isn’t Easy

Most importantly if you know me you know taking my time isn’t easy. At all. In addition my subscribers know I am no stranger to travel. However now that I’ve gone full gonzo nomad the idea of taking my time has new significance. Learn more in Taking-My-Time-Isn’t-Easy-Bob Davis Podcast 963.

Heavy Travel For 6 Years

First of all I’ve been traveling a fair part of the year for the past 6 years. So choosing to hit the road permanently seemed to be a natural development if not a bit extreme.

No Plan Is The Plan

Second of all aside from planning the actual highways and back roads to take on travel days, no plan IS the plan.

Pace Of Travel For Type A’s

Therefore sitting in a state park in Indiana recently gave me some time to reflect on how the pace of travel should be different if you live on the road.

Stupid Mistakes

Even more when I am pushing to get from one place to another that is when I make stupid mistakes.

In The Now

Above all it becomes necessary to remind myself it’s all happening in the now.

I mean literally

No Home To Go To

Certainly I don’t have to go ‘back’ home at any time. so I should be able to take my time, right?

Zen Is Easier Said Than Achieved

On the other hand for type A individuals that is easier said than done.

Letting Go A Little

As a result this is something I have to remind myself of almost constantly. I am not giving up. Maybe just letting go a little.

Yes There Is An Overall Plan

To clarify there is a plan. I’ll let you guys in on some of it in this podcast.

But it is a loose plan.

Minute Details

I’ve never been one to plan things down to the minute details. However I can get pretty intense when things don’t work out exactly as I planned.

Finally I am sure more and more ideas like this will become clearer and ‘gel’ as they say, as time goes on.

It’s all very new to me right now.

Coronavirus-Madness-Hack-Travel-Bob Davis Podcast 911

Coronavirus Madness Hack With Travel

These days it’s getting to the point where all this talk about Coronavirus is wearing me out. I thought, what’s a hack for all this stress? A podcast about travel. Here it is in Coronavirus-Madness-Hack-Travel-Bob Davis Podcast 911.

Too Much Social Media and News

Moreover whether it’s social media or TV News sometimes it can be just a little bit too much.

It’s Madness

Time for a Madness Hack. Talk about back roads travel across the United States. Above all there are some great places to visit and experience in the United States. Since I just got a new road atlas, time to talk.

Back Roads Routes For Bug Out

Since I only travel on back roads these days, some of the discussion of routes and places might come in handy. You never know when you might have to bug out.

Freedom

Especially relevant is the word Freedom. The wide open feeling you get on a back road.

All Fifty States

In Coronavirus-Madness-Hack-Travel-Bob Davis Podcast 911 I’ll go through all fifty of the states.

Alaska and New England

I’ve crisscrossed all these states many times. In contrast there are just a few states I’ve never been to. I’ll tell you about my plans for the New England coastal states, and Alaska.

RV Talk

Also we’ll talk a little but about RV’s. In contrast to Van Life people and some RV folks, I tend to cover a lot of ground. My RV needs might be a little more robust than hauling a trailer or driving a behemoth with three bedrooms. Even though are they are super cool.

Always More

Finally the more I talk about hitting the back roads the more places I remember I’ve been. I couldn’t possibly cover them all in one podcast. There’s always more when it comes to travel.

Travel Tips Too

From Alabama to Wyoming I’ve been there. I’ll share routes, locations and places to see. Plus some tips for making travel a little easier.

Take A Break From The Madness

Above all just doing this podcast made me feel a lot better. It’s double length just to make your break from the madness even more enjoyable.

(Editor’s Note: I absolutely forgot Hawaii. Can’t drive there. But, I really want to visit Hawaii too!)
