Chaos-Confusion-Shut Down-Merry Trumpmas-Bob Davis Podcast 788

I love talking about current events. These days it gets harder and harder because of a volatile President Trump. Learn more in Chaos-Confusion-Shut Down-Merry Trumpmas-Bob Davis Podcast 788.

Genius Or Idiot

Moreover all this talk of political polarity isn’t republican or democrat. Either you think the president is a genius or an idiot. There’s no in between.

Especially relevant is the question of whether we are able to take a step back and look at recent key events with some perspective.

Economics and Diplomacy Nobody Wants To Discuss

Not too long ago I asked listeners and subscribers to think about what US economic and foreign policy should be. A presidential election and midterm election have taken place since then.

Suddenly foreign policy and economic policy are front and center. We’ll talk about it fireside in Chaos-Confusion-Shut Down-Merry Trumpmas-Bob Davis Podcast 788.

Syria and Turkey

First of all, the president made a snap decision to withdraw US Troops from Syria while on the phone with the Turkish president. In the aftermath the defense secretary resigned, as well as a senior diplomat managing the alliances to fight ISIS. Now the president is talking about withdraws from Afghanistan and Iraq. Is he right?

Combined with Trump’s executive order ban of Bump-Stocks the Syria Withdraw has usually fawning talk show hosts apoplectic.

Government Shutdown

In addition the ongoing struggle between the White House and Congress has resulted in a government ‘shutdown‘. What’s more the struggle appears to be between a Republican president and his Republican majority in the House and Senate.

Firing The Fed Head

On top off all this the president wants to fire the Federal Reserve Chairman. Concerns about economic performance are rising and finally financial analysts are writing about government spending accounting for most of the so called ‘boom’ in the US economy over the last two quarters. This is conservative republican economics?

End Of Conservative GOP

Finally there’s talk of a big split within the republican party. Moderate Republicans fighting Trumpers. Trump fighting with all of them to get a wall built along the US Mexican border. Through all of this there’s been no legislation on key matters like immigration even with republican control of the Legislative and Executive branches of the government. It sure seems like the lack of principles and republican populism is tearing the so called ‘conservative’ coalition apart.

Merry Trumpmas

In conclusion the question of whether people thought about policy during both elections is key. New ideas, and international structures are coming. If we the people don’t start thinking about what kind of country we want, and how will the next America function? Trumpmas will look like child’s play. All of this has me aching to hit the open road!

Russia Trump Clinton Election Hack Fireside-Podcast 673

Political junkies and those confused by coverage of the Russia Hack story listen up. Russia Trump Clinton Election Hack Fireside-Podcast 673 is for you.

Players Play and Hackers Hack

The election hack is probably the most successful intelligence operation in history. Furthermore if the hackers wanted to sow mistrust and division between Americans, they succeeded. Most noteworthy, if the hackers wanted Americans to mistrust their political system and lose faith in a future president, they were wildly successful.

Three Little Story Lines One Bear

I’ll break all three of the especially relevant story lines down in Russia Trump Clinton Election Hack Fireside-Podcast 673. The so called ‘Russian Hack’, the ‘Russian Dossier’ and the Hillary Clinton email server hack. There’s plenty of historical precedent for explosive documents causing mischief.

New Developments Get Clicks and Shares

Breaking News from The Washington post says the Clinton campaign and democrats paid for the infamous Russian Dossier. Does this mean President Trump and his campaign is off the hook? Find out in Russia Trump Clinton Election Hack Fireside-Podcast 673. If you want to read the actual dossier in question, click here.

This Isn’t Going Away

In addition it seems like both sides have lost their minds on this one. Due to new developments should democrats hang their heads? Should republicans scream in victory? Let’s put it this way, it’s a marathon not an event. The Russia story isn’t likely to go away anytime soon.

Someone Stole The Cookies From The Cookie Jar

In conclusion, it’s clear someone was actively intervening in the 2016 Presidential election in the United States. Most noteworthy is the fact that no allegations have been proven yet. I wonder why people on the right do not seem to want to know the truth of the matter. I marvel at the left’s willingness to convict and punish someone because of a mere allegation.

Partisan Free Zone

It’s about time someone lays all this out so we can all know where things stand right now. In Russia Trump Clinton Election Hack Fireside-Podcast 673 I do not tell you what to believe. There are no demands for listeners to adhere to an ideology. A breath of fresh air in this media environment if I don’t say so myself.

Podcast 438

Post Paris Reset. In an odd way there isn’t much to add to the observations in Podcast 437. Almost everything predicted regarding coverage of and reaction to the Paris Attacks has come true. In the aftermath of ‘Paris’, an hour or two spent with cable news yields little new information, but provokes an emotional response with viewers. This emotional response is intensified hour after hour as the same footage is replayed, the crawl at the bottom of the screen details the statements of politicians, while ‘experts’ argue on screen. Conversely, in ten minutes spent on line, one gets an idea of the contours of new developments with the story. Yet, people sit staring at Cable TV News for hours expecting some new development, getting more and more frustrated and angry, or afraid and concerned. This doesn’t advance the story, and doesn’t make it any easier to understand what has happened and what can be done about it. The media is complicit in creating an all-or-nothing, right-left, up or down orientation to every story, especially big stories that get covered and discussed hour after hour. The results are predictable; Politicians are already urging we send hundreds of thousands of troops into Iraq, or to ‘declare war on ISIS’. The only reasonable conclusion that has been drawn is that the Syrian refugee program in the US should be suspended until Congress can determine whether the vetting process is effective or not and even that has become a contentious issue to be argued ad infinitum. Meanwhile we’re no closer to developing a foreign policy that addresses Russia, the Rise of China and Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and terrorism. Politically, we don’t seem to have any idea where we want to be as a country in fifteen or twenty years. Given this philosophical vacuum, the same voices that got us into Iraq twice in the last 20 years are already advocating a continuation of the same failed policies, with predictably negative results. Is this what you want? Best be sure, because you’re about to vote for it. Again. Sponsored by Hydrus, Pride of Homes and Luke Team Real Estate
