Vibrating At A Higher Frequency With Yoga-Always A Student-Podcast 704

I’ve been practicing yoga for almost twenty years and so have experienced a few of the promises of yoga. These days I’ve noticed much stronger effects. We’ll talk about it in Vibrating At A Higher Frequency With Yoga-Always A Student-Podcast 704.

How Yoga Effects Chakras

Most noteworthy is the fact that I have never been one to believe or study chakras. I practiced yoga because it calmed me down and made me feel good.

After twenty years it’s clear yoga is doing much more than that.

Don’t Care About Petty and Nasty Political Fights

After years spent in the radio industry and a talk show host focused on politics I find it almost impossible to engage in what I perceive as petty and nasty fights about personalities.

How Yoga Changes A Student’s Vibration

One of the promises of yoga is that after a time a practitioner’s vibration changes. We operate at a higher octave. In Vibrating At A Higher Frequency With Yoga-Always A Student-Podcast 704 I’ll share some of my experiences on the mat leading to a higher vibration and how that has effected my life.

Higher Anxiety Levels In Society

Especially relevant is the trigger for this podcast. More Americans report increasing anxiety levels about the future. We often feel like some terrible thing is one step away from happening. Analysts blame our mobile devices and twenty four hour cable television news.

Don’t despair. It’s possible to disconnect and stay aware of what is happening in the world. What’s more, practicing yoga takes away the desire to be connected, so you can stay on top the latest developments without losing it. It’s a good thing.

Yoga Every Damn Day

Daily practice. Chakra tuning. Doing 108 sun salutes on New Year’s Day. Posture clinics. Yoga every damn day has given me greater empathy, allows me to tune into the moods of other people and slows things down enough for me to understand what’s going on. For a type A, intense person, that is a a huge change.

Oh I still have an interest in analysis and history, news events and dare I say it, politics. However, my approach and how I talk about those subjects has changed. For the better.

Podcast 438

Post Paris Reset. In an odd way there isn’t much to add to the observations in Podcast 437. Almost everything predicted regarding coverage of and reaction to the Paris Attacks has come true. In the aftermath of ‘Paris’, an hour or two spent with cable news yields little new information, but provokes an emotional response with viewers. This emotional response is intensified hour after hour as the same footage is replayed, the crawl at the bottom of the screen details the statements of politicians, while ‘experts’ argue on screen. Conversely, in ten minutes spent on line, one gets an idea of the contours of new developments with the story. Yet, people sit staring at Cable TV News for hours expecting some new development, getting more and more frustrated and angry, or afraid and concerned. This doesn’t advance the story, and doesn’t make it any easier to understand what has happened and what can be done about it. The media is complicit in creating an all-or-nothing, right-left, up or down orientation to every story, especially big stories that get covered and discussed hour after hour. The results are predictable; Politicians are already urging we send hundreds of thousands of troops into Iraq, or to ‘declare war on ISIS’. The only reasonable conclusion that has been drawn is that the Syrian refugee program in the US should be suspended until Congress can determine whether the vetting process is effective or not and even that has become a contentious issue to be argued ad infinitum. Meanwhile we’re no closer to developing a foreign policy that addresses Russia, the Rise of China and Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and terrorism. Politically, we don’t seem to have any idea where we want to be as a country in fifteen or twenty years. Given this philosophical vacuum, the same voices that got us into Iraq twice in the last 20 years are already advocating a continuation of the same failed policies, with predictably negative results. Is this what you want? Best be sure, because you’re about to vote for it. Again. Sponsored by Hydrus, Pride of Homes and Luke Team Real Estate

News Cleanse Day 2. The News Cycle Is Not Your Friend. What IS a ‘News Cleanse’. Why do a ‘News Cleanse’. No news reading or watching. No political discussions. No peeking. Continue podcasting through the cleanse. Great emails and comments already from listeners to The Bob Davis Podcasts. Does this mean no politics or social commentary during the cleanse? Does this mean Bob Davis is losing interest in what is happening politically and socially in the world and in the United States? The answer is emphatically no. Political and social commentary through the week is a go! But, does the news cycle serve anyone? The big outlets, CNN, and Fox and of course all the networks, and web sites like Drudge, Huffington, Buzz Feed, Infowars, The Blaze, the heritage mainstream media like the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and the political websites like Politico, World Net Daily, Newsmax, and many more are designed to elicit an emotional response, and drive people into camps. It’s not news anymore. It’s sports. And what are people talking about out there around their bonfires in places like Maple Grove, Des Moines, and the suburbs of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Philadelphia, Chicago and Detroit? Not the daily news cycle and the screaming, yelling, pounding, pontificating, punditating and general gas bagging. One man’s journey through news addiction treatment. Sponsored by Baklund R&D.
