YouTube’s Hogwash Motherload-Bob Davis Podcast 815

They used to say don’t believe everything you read. These days that maxim applies to just about any story. Especially when it comes to YouTube. We’ll talk about it in YouTube’s Hogwash Motherload-Bob Davis Podcast 815.

Love YouTube

Right off the bat, I love YouTube. Furthermore, I spend way too much time going down the rabbit hole of videos in my feed, based on videos I have watched.

Propaganda On YouTube

Some people love watching videos about how to install motorcycle parts. Some people love crazy theories about the end of the world and conspiracy theories. Especially relevant is my hobby of pointing out propaganda on YouTube. In addition, my questions about Americans joining less educated populations in believing mostly pure nonsense. Propaganda as a purpose. As a result, we’re gonna get into it in YouTube’s Hogwash Motherload-Bob Davis Podcast 815.

Sun No Longer Shining

Lately the motherlode of propaganda and other hogwash are videos from someone who claims to be a Doctor Claudia Albers. Moreover her claims get more absurd by the day. For instance, the sun is no longer shining. Our light comes from “sun simulators“.

I Just Got A Call and You Won’t Believe What’s About To Happen

In addition, videos by so called ‘people in the know’. The guy on YouTube who claims to “know someone” in the Defense Department, FEMA or some shadowy agency. “Hey Guys”, they chirp. “I just got a call and it’s about to go down“.

Hoodwinking America For Fun and Profit

Certainly these videos appear to be pure fantasy. Therefore I wonder how many people are hoodwinked into believing conspiracy theory and pure nonsense. Aside from making YouTube a vast intellectual wasteland, above all is there a rhyme or reason to this madness? I think there is.

If YouTube Is The Source How Do We Know What’s Real?

Considering the fact that YouTube is the second largest search engine, in the final analysis what is fact or fiction? Who funds these channels? What is their impact?

Finally if mistrust and confusion is the goal of propaganda, this particular current sample from YouTube is the Motherlode.

Predicting Future-Divination-Story Lines-Prophecy-Warning-Podcast 701

First of all, it’s been a theme in my podcasts to discuss bad information spread by media. Most noteworthy are what the mainstream media likes to call ‘narratives’. Yet there is plenty of out and out nonsense in new media too. We’ll talk about it in Predicting Future-Divination-Story Lines-Prophecy-Warning-Podcast 701.

Are We Sane and Rational?

We like to think of ourselves as sane and rational in this country, but I am starting to wonder. Are we reversing in our progress, going back in time to become a more superstitious people?

Pseudo Science To The Rescue

People now use divination, prophecy and pseudo science to predict the future. These kinds of videos on You Tube have hundreds of thousands of views and thousands of subscribers. Moreover it’s becoming harder to argue You Tube videos have less credibility than mainstream outlets.

We Don’t Need Facts Anymore

It is especially relevant that rather than focusing on facts most of the mainstream news outlets focus on opinion to keep people watching. As a result we’re not using facts to make judgements about our world.

Anything Makes Sense When We Know Nothing

Hence, we might believe the US is about to attack North Korea. Why not accept story lines suggesting there is a planetary system hiding behind the sun and our government is keeping proof of its existence from us? Why wouldn’t we believe pseudo science stories about people who channel aliens?

Your Child Is A Genius

Because it’s easy to accept the idea that our children are geniuses and have evolved DNA and that a benevolent alien race is about to change the energy level on earth, allowing us to live disease free, and promoting love.

Welcome To A Tribal Way of Life

I think it might be easy to accept outrageous stories, when you’re fed opinion disguised as facts on the real stories? Are we well on our way to becoming a tribal rather than rational culture?

Self Reliant People Don’t Believe In Fairy Tales

In conclusion we have all been taught Americans descend from ruggedly self reliant people therefore, we are self reliant. Are we? Can we be strong and self reliant if we believe fairy tales?

Podcast 532

What I think of Election 2016. Getting emails and calls from people political analysts would consider ‘low information voters’ asking what I think and who they should vote for. So in this podcast I am going to tell you. First thing? When you consider the low quality of all reporting on election 2016 everyone is pretty much a low information voter. In 2016 the country is facing decisions on major issues in economics, immigration, trade, foreign policy, military, diplomacy, social issues and more. Almost no one fully understands the contours of these issues well enough to discuss them. Instead what we have are tribes of people who are very emotional about these issues. They know the latest meme. They know all about the latest scandal and the latest ‘story’ evolving concerning who said what about who, and the reaction to it, but when they’re asked to discuss any of the key issues of our time with clarity and depth, as they say in the windy city; “fergitaboutit”. Who do I think should be president in 2017? None of them. Repeat. None of them. If you include the so called independent candidates and the mainline party candidates they’re nothing but placeholders. Someone needs to lay out what the potential outcome of this election will be, regardless of who wins the office. I start – repeat start – to do that in this podcast. I realized about twenty minutes in, this is going to take more than one ‘talk’ podcast (with no editing) to lay out all the possibilities and outcomes. Bottom line? None of the potential outcomes bode well for the future of the United States. We’ve had a series of placeholder presidents, and it looks like we’re about to have another. Meanwhile, the country is getting closer and closer to what I call a ‘clarifying’ event that will wake people up from their media induced hypnosis, and reinvigorate the political process. Maybe. Maybe not. Meanwhile, if you expect to get information from television and radio, and from the standard websites these days, I feel sorry for you. If you guess you’ll find “the truth” on You Tube’s conspiracy channels, and the Drudge Report, guess again. In What I Think of Election 2016 you’ll get my read at the present time, which sets up future podcasts specifically on the issues in the hope of giving listeners to the Bob Davis Podcasts a little more substance and depth than you’ll find anywhere else. Meanwhile, it’s on to the motorcycle rally at Sturgis from here. Sponsored by Hydrus Performance and Brush Studio in the West End, Saint Louis Park.
