Heavy Travel For 6 Years

First of all I’ve been traveling a fair part of the year for the past 6 years. So choosing to hit the road permanently seemed to be a natural development if not a bit extreme.

No Plan Is The Plan

Second of all aside from planning the actual highways and back roads to take on travel days, no plan IS the plan.

Pace Of Travel For Type A’s

Therefore sitting in a state park in Indiana recently gave me some time to reflect on how the pace of travel should be different if you live on the road.

Stupid Mistakes

Even more when I am pushing to get from one place to another that is when I make stupid mistakes.

In The Now

Above all it becomes necessary to remind myself it’s all happening in the now.

I mean literally

No Home To Go To

Certainly I don’t have to go ‘back’ home at any time. so I should be able to take my time, right?

Zen Is Easier Said Than Achieved

On the other hand for type A individuals that is easier said than done.

Letting Go A Little

As a result this is something I have to remind myself of almost constantly. I am not giving up. Maybe just letting go a little.

Yes There Is An Overall Plan

To clarify there is a plan. I’ll let you guys in on some of it in this podcast.

But it is a loose plan.

Minute Details

I’ve never been one to plan things down to the minute details. However I can get pretty intense when things don’t work out exactly as I planned.

Finally I am sure more and more ideas like this will become clearer and ‘gel’ as they say, as time goes on.

Back Roads Routes For Bug Out

Since I only travel on back roads these days, some of the discussion of routes and places might come in handy. You never know when you might have to bug out.

Also we’ll talk a little but about RV’s. In contrast to Van Life people and some RV folks, I tend to cover a lot of ground. My RV needs might be a little more robust than hauling a trailer or driving a behemoth with three bedrooms. Even though are they are super cool.

Finally the more I talk about hitting the back roads the more places I remember I’ve been. I couldn’t possibly cover them all in one podcast. There’s always more when it comes to travel.

Seems like all the democratic candidates want to talk about the impeachment. They all talk a lot about the President.

Republicans Take Note

Because of this republican leaning listeners and Trumpers may find it difficult to listen all the way through.

Organization and Pivot Counties

However one of my takeaways already is the depth of democrat arguments and the detail of their proposed agendas, should they become president. Even more the level of organization I am seeing here.

In conclusion one thing is sure to be a factor in 2020. Democrats are targeting pivot counties here in Iowa in preparation for a national strategy along those lines later in the campaigns.

Therefore it might be a good idea to hear and understand the arguments they’ll use.
